The GRAMMY Foundation was established to cultivate understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music on American culture -- from the artistic and technical legends of the past to the future generations of music professionals.

Section 1: to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence, by the acquisition and protection of historical spots and the erection of monuments; by the encouragement of historical research in relation to the revolution and the publication of its results; by the preservation of documents and relics, and of the records of the individual services of revolutionary soldiers and patriots; and by the promotion of celebrations of all patriotic anniversaries; section 2: to carry out the injunction of Washington in his farewell address to the American people, “to promote, as an object of primary importance, institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge,” thus developing an enlightened public opinion, and affording to young and old such advantages as shall develop in them the largest capacity for performing the duties of American citizens; section 3: to cherish, maintain and extend the institutions of american freedom; to foster true patriotism and love of country, and to aid in securing for mankind all the blessings of liberty.

The mission of The Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) is to support the discipline of songwriting in the tradition of the Great American Songbook as exemplified by the life and work of Johnny Mercer: lyricist, composer, performer, collaborator and producer. The Foundation continues Johnny’s legacy by partnering with individuals and organizations dedicated to celebrating and nourishing the disciplines he mastered, and the causes he and Ginger Mercer championed.

FORM 990-EZ, PART III, PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE - ON JANUARY 24, 2014, PRESIDENT OBAMA SIGNED PUBLIC LAW 113-78 (THE ACT), AUTHORIZING THE PEACE CORPS FOUNDATION, DBA THE PEACE CORPS COMMEMORATIVE FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION), TO ESTABLISH A COMMEMORATIVE WORK ON FEDERAL LAND IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION, AS AUTHORIZED BY THE ACT, IS TO HONOR THE FOUNDING OF THE PEACE CORPS IN 1961 AND THOSE FUNDAMENTAL AMERICAN IDEAS AND VALUES SYMBOLIZED BY THE PEACE CORPS SERVICE.THE FOUNDATION IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCEPTANCE OF CONTRIBUTIONS FOR, AND PAYMENT OF THE EXPENSES OF, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THIS COMMEMORATIVE WORK.

To provide community support and educational opportunities to refugees, immigrants, and displaced American families.

Dizzy Feet Foundation was founded in 2009 by producer Nigel Lythgoe and director Adam Shankman, among others to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the United States. Guided by a board representing all aspects of the American dance community, the foundation's mission is threefold: 1. To sponsor, fund, and/or support dance education programs which expose children in low-income areas to the lifelong benefits of dance education through and with local community organizations. 2. To provide scholarships to talented students studying at accredited or nationally regarded dance schools, studios, or institutions. 3. In conjunction with recognized credentialing organizations, to support and increase the quality of all styles of dance education in the United States.

American Ballet Theatre's mission is to create, to present, to preserve, and to extend the great repertoire of classical dancing, through exciting performances and educational programming of the highest quality, presented to the widest possible audience.

The Foundation champions the Museums exceptional exhibitions, educational programs, and acquisitions.

Created in early 2010, Music Empowers Foundation was established as a private foundation for the purpose of providing funding to nonprofit organizations that offer engaging and innovative music instruction to children in communities where music education either does not exist or is underdeveloped. Music Empowers Foundation is founded on the knowledge that music ignites children's creativity, fosters a sense of accomplishment and empowers them to achieve and succeed in all aspects of their lives.
