Situated atop Grymes Hill, overlooking the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and New York Harbor, the 1908 building was the home of the Roebling-Stirn family and designated a New York city landmark building in 2001. The Stirn mansion is listed on the New York state and national register of historic places, renamed "Casa Belvedere" in 2008 meaning "house with a beautiful view." It is poised to become a local and regional cultural destination.
