The Umkhumbane Schools Project is an innovative partnership with and among the five secondary schools in the historic Cato Manor township area near Durban, South Africa. With a specific focus on mathematics and science, we are working to improve academic outcomes and enhance access to tertiary education in a disadvantaged community full of vitality and promise. Our approach models an innovative NGO-schools partnership that can be replicated in other disadvantaged settings.

Bridging Voices, or Portland GSA Youth Chorus, believes that bridges are better than walls. It is a non-audition chorus (meaning no one is cut) and it creates a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ youth and straight allies, ages 13 - 22, to develop their authentic voices through music. For some, it will be the first time they are comfortable being themselves.

The Willits Center for the Arts’ mission is to support active cultural participation and artistic expression in the City of Willits and its surrounding communities by providing a public space for gallery shows, arts activities, education, cultural activities, and community enrichment

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company seeks to explore the original theatrical practices of the acting companies of Shakespeare's time; to provide high quality productions of works by Shakespeare and his contemporaries to regional theatre audiences; to provide local actors, directors, and stage managers the opportunity to work with these wonderful scripts and to receive training in an original practice approach to Shakespeare's plays; and to maintain an organizational philosophy in which theatre practitioners participate in the administration of the company on a regular basis.

The Friends of Algonquin Park was established in 1983 as a non profit registered charity. The Friends operate as a cooperating association under an agreement with the Ontario Parks to enhance the educational and interpretive programs in Algonquin Park. This is accomplished by developing and reprinting Park-related publications, and funding Park projects through the proceeds from sales at The Friends' two bookstores in the Park, private donations, and various fundraising efforts. The activities of The Friends of Algonquin are coordinated by a volunteer Board of Directors who reside in different parts of Ontario. Since its establishment, The Friends has grown to a membership of over 3000 people, and continues to attract support from around the world.

The Caring and Sharing Exchange provides much-needed assistance to Ottawa residents facing economic hardship during the back-to-school and Christmas seasons. The assistance is provided by means of food hampers, backpacks and gift-vouchers to Giant Tiger. The Angel Foundation for Learning aims to ensure that all TCDSB students are equally able to participate in opportunities that sustain and enhance the educational process including: student nutrition programs, class trips, leadership activities, bursaries and funding for social work emergency needs, for instance: eyeglasses, hearing aids, food vouchers and other essentials for TCDSB students in need.
