Peace of Heart Choir, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation ("the Choir"), was founded in 2001 by local composer Jeff Becker, who recruited 28 singers to present his original, 9/11 commemorative song at a NYC Recovers’ community event. Today, the choir’s mission remains the same: using music to build bridges and community and speak to diverse communities in times of need. The Choir annually performs approximately 20 community concerts – free-of-charge – at public venues or onsite at social service organizations throughout New York City, focusing on underserved groups yearning to hear music, including the sick; the elderly; the disabled; and the homeless.

The mission of the Chinese American Museum (CAM) is to foster a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for, America’s diverse heritage by researching, preserving, and sharing the history, rich cultural legacy, and continued contributions of Chinese Americans.

The Foundation's mission is, in collaboration with our partners the City of San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly State University, to promote and provide an accessible and extraordinary center for the performing arts that elevates the arts in our community.

Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust (LAMOTH) has a two-fold mission that has remained constant since its inception in 1961: Commemoration and Education. LAMOTH dedicates itself as a primary source institution, while guaranteeing dialogue with an actual Survivor, a living embodiment of history.

The John Howard Society of Alberta is a non-profit agency concerned with the problem of crime and its prevention. The organization takes its name and spirit from the 18th century humanitarian John Howard, whose name has become a symbol of humane consideration for prisoners. It was incorporated in 1949, and today the organization consists of six separately incorporated districts along with the Provincial Office. We believe that crime control is as much the responsibility of the community as it is of government. Through involvement with the John Howard Society, as members or volunteers, people in the community play an active role in the criminal justice process by providing programs for offenders and their families, ex-offenders, young persons and the public.

The missions of Fendig Theatre for Children are to provide youth with an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the production of theatre; to provide the community with theatre that is both artistically and educationally challenging; to help local youth develop a better understanding of the potential of theatre for fostering human development, while also helping them understand the technical aspects of theatre; and to use theatre as a means of developing a sense of community.

The mission of the Spafford Children's Center (SCC) is to bring healing, hope, and prosperity to Palestinian children and their families in Jerusalem and the West Bank by offering programs and services that increase health in mind, body, and spirit. The mission of the American Friends of the Spafford Children's Center Fund (AFSCCF) is to support the SCC by raising funds in the United States. AFSCCF activities are implemented by a volunteer board of directors. AFSCCF pays no staff salaries and no overhead so that all funds, minus direct expenses like printing and postage, can be sent to SCC.

Located in one of the last orchards in the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (as Silicon Valley was called when it led world agriculture, as we do today in technology), the Los Altos History Museum is a cultural oasis with a historic house and state-of-the-art museum surrounded by lush gardens, just one block from historic downtown Los Altos, California. Over 21,000 people a year find their way to this top-rated local history museum for its superior permanent exhibits, innovative programs, fun special events, curriculum-based school tours and a dynamic schedule of award-winning changing exhibits. The Museum provides educational opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn about the community via interactive exhibits and hands-on activities aligned with Museum objectives. Guests enjoy orchardist J. Gilbert Smith's 1905 Craftsman house furnished in the time of the Great Depression and interactive outdoor agricultural exhibits like a restored tractor kids can climb on. Other programs include third and fourth grade curriculum tours for local school children, annual essay contest, lectures, workshops, oral history collections, a traveling Ohlone kit, and much more.
