Shanghai United Foundation

Mission: Empowering donors to support grassroots NGOs in China At present, most grassroots NGOs lack an effective method for professional fund-raising and most Chinese official foundations provide very limited grant opportunities. The resulting funding gap forces them to focus a disproportionate amount of time on maintaining the operation of their organizations. As a result, they usually have neither the energy nor money to conduct large-scale fund-raising activities or focus on improving the impact of their programs. Shanghai United Foundation (SUF) focuses on fund-raising for grassroots NGOs in an effort to relieve much of the financial burden that limits the growth and impact of promising organizations.

Mangold Music Foundation

The mission of the Mangold Music Foundation is to gift musical instruments combined with music education to children hospitalized with Cancer, as well as to create music programs for children who, as a result of school and community wide financial challenges, would not otherwise have access to instruments or music education.

Dizzy Feet Foundation

Dizzy Feet Foundation was founded in 2009 by producer Nigel Lythgoe and director Adam Shankman, among others to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the United States. Guided by a board representing all aspects of the American dance community, the foundation's mission is threefold: 1. To sponsor, fund, and/or support dance education programs which expose children in low-income areas to the lifelong benefits of dance education through and with local community organizations. 2. To provide scholarships to talented students studying at accredited or nationally regarded dance schools, studios, or institutions. 3. In conjunction with recognized credentialing organizations, to support and increase the quality of all styles of dance education in the United States.

Northwest Literacy Foundation

Founded in 1989, The Northwest Literacy Foundation is a volunteer run nonprofit that seeks to strengthen our community by putting books in the hands of young readers. The NWLF is committed to enhancing youth literacy efforts in the Pacific Northwest by providing literature and resources through partnerships with schools and community organizations. The NWLF collaborates with schools and organizations throughout the area, serving students with high needs and often lacking a depth of resources. Through grants of books, we work to “fill the shelves” of local school libraries, provide additional classroom resources, host author visits and purchase books for community organizations engaged in educational programs. With a rich history of focusing on young readers, collaborating with schools and building effective community partnerships, Northwest Literacy Foundation has provided over 180,000 new books to children, schools and community groups.

BURNABY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Burnaby Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the medical equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is a 300 bed, community based, acute care hospital caring for over 230,000 people every year. Our Emergency department is one of the busiest in the Province of BC and treats over 45,000 adults and 12,000 children annually.

Ibma Foundation Inc

The IBMA Foundation was created by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2007 with a bequest from the Richard Barnhart estate. Mr. Barnhart was a musician from northern Virginia who loved bluegrass and wanted to support educational programs for children. Since the beginning, their goal has been to support bluegrass-music-related educational, literary, artistic, and historic preservation activities.

Historic Hawaii Foundation

The purpose of the foundation shall be to preserve and encourage the preservation of historic buildings, objects and sites relating to the history of Hawai'i to promote an awareness of and respect for all that is historically significant and architecturally distinctive in our State; and through these efforts, to keep alive and intact for the enrichment of present and future generations the inherent beauty of the Hawaiian Islands and its unique historic role in the development of the Pacific Basin.
