The Riekes Center

The Riekes Center, founded in 1996, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the Fair Oaks neighborhood of Menlo Park. We serve 7,000+ students a year from East Palo Alto, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City, as well as across the Bay Area and around the world. Our mission is to provide community members of all ages with the best possible opportunity to define and accomplish their individual goals, build character, and learn transferable life skills while participating in our Athletic Fitness, Creative Arts, Nature Awareness, and Community Service programs. We provide these opportunities regardless of a person's ability to pay or perform.

Martin Luther King Birthday Committee

Since the installation of the monument, our fund-raising initiatives have primarily been to support the educational endeavors of our youth. In January of each year, as we celebrate the birthday of Dr. King, we commemorate his legacy by awarding annual scholarships to applicants who meet the qualifying criteria. Our focus is striving to keep the “dream alive” by encouraging their development skills, educational excellence, and integrity.

FAME Center

FAME Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to music and art education for children and adults. Throughout the calendar year, FAME Center offers fine arts education through music lessons, digital art and visual art, computer coding classes, musical theater and drama classes, creative writing classes, and music and art therapy for mental health. Our vision is to enrich and nurture the lives of children and adults in underserved communities of Chicago through music and art education.
