Believing that the arts are centrally important to the education of all students, the Aroostook Partners in the Arts seeks to work cooperatively with the local schools to develop, support, and sponsor significant performing arts, visual arts, and humanities experiences for school children and young people in the community.

It is the mission of the Parsonsfield-Porter Historical Society to collect and preserve artifacts, photographs, documents and publications of historical significance that relate directory to the history of Parsonsfield, Porter and South Hiram, Maine – including the village of Kezar Falls; to preserve and make available for research the genealogical records of families from the area; to encourage the love and study of local history in the youth of the area; to encourage the preservation of historical sites and structures; and to discover and disseminate local history, legend and lore so that succeeding generations may benefit from a better understanding of their past.

The purpose of the Friends of the Fairfax Station, Inc., a non-profit 501-c-3, all volunteer organization, is to maintain and operate the rebuilt Fairfax Station railroad depot as a museum.

This Corporation is organized and is to be operated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes, including, but without derogating from the generality of the forgoing: (a) Collecting and preserving historical data, materials and equipment, pertaining to railroads of al kinds, and wherever situated with special emphasis on those railroads serving the State of South Carolina and the Southeastern United States; (b) organizing, maintaining, and supporting an operating transportation museum
