The award winning Anderson County Museum collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts that document the history of Anderson County and South Carolina for present and future generations. The Auto-Archives Automotive & Motor Sport Library and Research Center, is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization formed in 2010. The mission of the archive is to preserve and document the rich history of the automobile, to provide both a physical and virtual resource for the study of the past, present and future of the automobile in all its forms, and to involve, inspire and educate the younger members of the community.

The National Women’s History Museum educates, inspires, empowers, and shapes the future by integrating women's distinctive history into the culture and history of the United States. Until legislation passes in Congress designating a permanent museum in Washington, D.C., the NWHM promotes women's history through its temporary exhibits, special events and programs, online museum, online educational materials and social media.
