To explore the High Desert\u2019s unique landscape, cultures, wildlife, history and arts, connecting our visitors to the past and helping them discover their role in the present and responsibility to the future. \n\nA multidisciplinary educational institution, the Museum promotes a balanced awareness of regional issues and inspires personal exploration and learning through fun, engaging and evocative exhibits, programs, educational classes, excursions, and special events. Programs are consistent with the Museum\u0027s leadership role as a partner with elementary, secondary, and higher education efforts and as a partner with regional and community organizations.

TO PRESERVE AND PRESENT THE HISTORY OF THE GREYHOUND

Our goal is to educate the public to the historical significance of the trails as they traversed through the Greater Kansas City area. The country was developed on this basic form of transportation. Each trail with its own importance; Santa Fe Trail was a trail of commerce. Oregon Trail was a route of emigrants to discover new territory. California Trail went west to find “gold”. Lewis and Clark to find a primary water route that would link the east to the west.

To provide as an independent, non-partisan organization, a permanent and living repository, for the preservation of the history of radio and television broadcasting within the State of Idaho, from inception, to and including, the present; To bring to the community at large a broader knowledge of how pioneers in Idaho Broadcasting created an enormous impact on the evolution of society; To stimulate in people of all ages, especially the young, a recognition of the practical and real contributions to our quality of life that radio and television broadcasting has provided, and continues to provide, to the citizens of Idaho.

Founded in 1978 to chronicle & present African American Art, History & Culture, our purpose is to inform & enlighten youth & the broad base public to the many positive achievements and contributions of African Americans. We endeavor to promote intercultural understanding, expand racial & ethnic tolerances, and to encourage positive avenues in Black youth. Our philosophy is that bigotry and prejuidice are fostered by ignorance and that hopelessness and despair felt by many Black youth are fueled by a lack of positive exposure. We use vivid & entertaining mediums to light a spark, to make a difference.

The National Civil Rights Museum, located at the Lorraine Motel, honors and preserves the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We chronicle the American civil rights movement and tell the story of the ongoing struggle for human rights. We educate and serve as a catalyst to inspire action to create positive social change.

The mission of McWane Science Center is to spark wonder and curiosity about our world through hands-on science experiences.

The Georgia Music Foundation fosters an appreciation for the state's music heritage and supports programs of music education, preservation and outreach.

The National Infantry Museum Foundation Honors Soldiers By Supporting The National Infantry Museum And Soldier Center, Whose Mission Is To Provide Education And Training To Soldiers, Families, And The General Public On All Facets Of The History Of The United States Infantry, The Origin And Development Of Fort Benning, And An Overview Of The U.S. Army.
