The DuSable Museum of African American History is a Chicago community institution and the first non-profit Museum dedicated to the collection, documentation, preservation, study and the dissemination of the history and culture of Africans and African Americans. As an educational institution, DuSable attracts school groups from Chicago and surrounding areas. More than 100,000 visitors attend or utilize the facility yearly. Through exhibits, educational programs, the archives, and special activities, the Museum continuously explores the African American experience and accomplishments of the past and present to further advance the education of the future.

Since our founding in 1924 we’ve been preserving Boone County’s history for its future generations. We collect, preserve and exhibit historic artifacts, records and artwork of the people of Boone County. The Boone County Historical Society is a non-profit organization that owns and operates its physical presence, the Boone County History & Culture Center. The Center consists of the Walters History Galleries, the Montminy Art Gallery, the Village at Boone Junction, The River-Horse Pavilion and the historic Maplewood House – Columbia’s most beloved 19th-century home.

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy protects and restores exceptional places to provide our region with clean waters and healthy forests, wildlife and natural areas for the benefit of present and future generations. The Conservancy creates green spaces and gardens, contributing to the vitality of our cities and towns, and preserves Fallingwater, a symbol of people living in harmony with nature. Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of charities, has recognized the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy as one of the top ten charities in the nation! Over the last decade, we have consistently received exceptional Charity Navigator ratings for financial health, accountability and transparency.

Our mission is to transform communities through innovative, child-centered learning that improves the trajectories of all children in Greater Houston. Goals aligned with this mission include: 1) providing child-centered learning experiences that are valued by families; 2) supporting parents’ confidence and skills as children’s first teachers; 3) advancing children’s learning to further grade-level readiness; 4) building partnerships to increase educational equity and reduce opportunity gaps; 5) furthering trust across communities through diversity, equity, inclusion and access; and 6) engaging with children to broaden their future career interests and options.

Heart & Soul heals the human spirit by bringing music and performing arts to isolated people. We provide free performances for isolated members of our community who find it difficult if not impossible to attend public concerts. Our performances enrich the soul and promote wellness through the healing power of music and the performing arts. In carrying out this mission we seek to make our world less lonely through music. Heart & Soul serves both the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back with over 1300 shows annually.

The vision of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation is to inspire the world through beautiful spaces that are thoughtfully designed and experienced. Taliesin and Taliesin they are both National Historic Landmarks and were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2019. Mission: The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation is dedicated to preserving Taliesin and Taliesin West for future generations, and inspiring society through an understanding and experience of Frank Lloyd Wright’s ideas, architecture, and design. They achieve this mission by preserving Wright’s work to provide a meaningful experience of it; educating the public on his principles, and using them to promote STEAM education for youth; and showcasing innovative new technology solutions that embody Wright’s ideas.

Our mission is to preserve, showcase, and nurture Venice’s diverse historical legacy.Vision: The Venice Heritage Museum will be a space for discovery — an inclusive hub for locals, Angelenos, and tourists alike to experience stories, collections, and archives from one of our country’s most culturally rich and innovative communities. In the face of constant change, the Museum will be a permanent landmark to celebrate all the diverse cultures and facets of Venice history. Believing that history inspires imagination, stimulates thought and transforms society, the Los Altos History Museum preserves and shares our local history to enrich our community and to shape a more informed future. Located in one of the last orchards in the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (as Silicon Valley was called when it led world agriculture, as we do today in technology), the Los Altos History Museum is a cultural oasis with a historic house and state-of-the-art museum surrounded by lush gardens, just one block from historic downtown Los Altos, California. San Jose Mercury columnist Steve Yvaska nailed it when he wrote "there never seems to be a dull moment at the Los Altos History Museum." Over 21,000 people a year find their way to this top-rated local history museum for its superior permanent exhibits, innovative programs, fun special events, curriculum-based school tours and a dynamic schedule of award-winning changing exhibits. The Museum provides educational opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn about the community via interactive exhibits and hands-on activities aligned with Museum objectives. Guests enjoy orchardist J. Gilbert Smith's 1905 Craftsman house furnished in the time of the Great Depression and interactive outdoor agricultural exhibits like a restored tractor kids can climb on. Other programs include third and fourth grade curriculum tours for local school children, annual essay contest, lectures, workshops, oral history collections, a traveling Ohlone kit, and much more. Opened in 1977 as a community museum, this family-friendly place is open FREE to the public, thanks to community support, Thursday through Sunday, noon to 4pm. Come visit!

CuriOdyssey, a science park for children, incorporates the foundations of the former Coyote Point Museum, but with a new vision. We are a stellar learning center that offers children a comprehensive introduction to the sciences. Our interactive science exhibits, exciting wildlife encounters, and engaging education programs give children authentic learning experiences that help develop an appreciation of the role of science in our lives. We provide the tools and experiences for children to learn and discover the fundamentals of physics, chemistry, biology, and geology by engaging them directly with scientific phenomena – animals, air, sound, water, plants, magnetism, and more. Through such interactions, we help to educate and inspire future leaders and innovators.

Surfing Heritage and Culture Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, presenting, and promoting surfing's heritage for the appreciation and education of current and future generations, and to achieving our goal of surfing being more accurately understood, represented, and enjoyed. PRESERVATION: Focusing on the complete spectrum of surfing's history and development, including but not limited to significant surfboards, photography and the full range of other forms of information and objects of cultural value. PRESENTATION: Establishing a world-class museum/resource facility, including an outreach program that creates exhibits and develops venues for effective traveling and/or offsite display: that this facility might serve as a symbolic center for the wave riding culture in the United States, dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of surfing as a sport, lifestyle, and culture. PROMOTION: Building a community which actively supports the Surfing Heritage with fund-raising, promotion, and advocacy.

We inspire people to engage in and celebrate the Shaker Heights story and its impact on the region...past, present, and future. We welcome visitors from around the world who seek to learn about the Shakers of North Union, the garden city suburb developed by the Van Sweringens and the early peaceful racial integration of the city from 1957. We produce permanent and temporary historical exhibits in our 1910 residence, one of the first houses built as part of the new Shaker Village. Our Lissauer Art Gallery features art produced by Northeast Ohio artists. Our Elizabeth Nord Research Library is open by appointment. We are also part of the Ohio History Connection as well as being one of the few Shaker communities open to the public on the National Parks Service's Shaker Trail.
