MNA's mission is to inspire a sense of love and responsibility for the beauty and diversity of the Colorado Plateau through collecting, studying, interpreting and preserving the region's natural and cultural heritage. MNA is a significant educational, collections and research institution that serves a diverse local community and a national and international audience united by a desire to learn about the Colorado Plateau. Since its founding, MNA has been a committed resource and partner to native communities and has filled a need for meaningful interaction between native and non-native communities.

The Museum of Northwest Art collects, preserves, interprets, and exhibits art created in the Pacific Northwest, supports artists, and strives to integrate art into the lives of all people.

The Nevada Museum of Art provides a forum for the presentation of creative ideas. We aspire to serve as a cultural resource for every member of our community. Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is the nation's largest private Holocaust memorial and museum, and New York City's premiere Holocaust resource. The core exhibit is organized around three basic themes: Jewish Life a Century Ago, The War Against the Jews, and Jewish Renewal. The 2,000 photographs, 800 historical and cultural artifacts, and 24 original documentary films in the Museum's core exhibition represent just a small portion of the approximately 15,000 objects and 3,600 oral histories in the Museum's collection. Visitors, especially those with no immediate association with Judaism or the Holocaust, are prompted to make personal connections to the culture and history of others while reflecting upon their own roles in society in new ways.

Museum Of Contemporary Art was founded in 1979 to collect, exhibit, interpret, and preserve contemporary art for the public benefit, to enhance accessibility, to further public understanding and appreciation of contemporary art, and to encourage ongoing creative activity.

Friends of Beckwith Ranch, Incorporated (FBR) was founded on February 10, 1997. The purpose of the corporation is to preserve an historic landmark in the Wet Mountain Valley by restoring and preserving the Beckwith Ranch house and associated buildings, to preserve the ranching heritage of the Wet Mountain Valley, and to foster and support educational programs concerning the history of the Beckwith Ranch and ranching as a way of life. The Beckwith Ranch (Waverly House) is the most historically significant site in Custer County. The original structure was built of logs circa 1869. It is one of the most photographed locations in Colorado and stands as a testament to the era and the Valley’s ranching roots. Through philanthropic donations and community member contributions and volunteerism as well as gifts in kind, we have been able to restore The Beckwith Ranch (Waverly House) to its original glory and maintain its exceptional history with educational tours and events.

The Holter Museum inspires, connects, and heals our community through contemporary exhibitions and innovative arts programming.The museum brings national and international exhibitions into the region, providing a much-needed venue for local and regional artists. The Holter Museum of Art also collects and preserves regional artworks in its permanent collection. The Holter is committed to promoting participation of diverse audiences through outreach, innovative educational programming, and collaboration with other organizations.
