Established in 2005, The GEANCO Foundation saves and transforms lives in Africa. We conduct complex surgical missions and run an innovative program to fight anemia in Nigeria. Through our system of modern, solar-powered rural maternal clinics, we help poor, vulnerable pregnant women safely deliver healthy babies. In addition to donating laptops, tablets, books, medicine and sports facilities to schools, our David Oyelowo Leadership Scholarship for Girls provides full tuition, healthcare, and social & psychological support to young female survivors of terrorism and gender inequality in Nigeria. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is dedicated to being the end of breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF-funded investigators have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. This year, BCRF has awarded $63 million in grants to support the work of nearly 300 scientists at leading medical and academic institutions across 14 countries, making BCRF the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide. American Service to India was founded to provide much-needed assistance to the poor and needy of India, primarily in the areas of health and education. It has sought to accomplish this through a variety of programs that address immediate needs as well as others that provide assistance over the long term. These programs have included the funding of projects that ASTI's board of directors feels most adequately meet those needs. In all cases, ASTI's main emphasis is to relieve the suffering of the poor of India as much as possible within the restrictions of its financial resources -- the vast majority of which are funded by donations from individuals and/or organizations in sympathy with ASTI's goals.
