Chartered in 1953, Simcoe and District Humane Society volunteers have helped animals in and around Norfolk County. SDHS is a non-profit, charitable organization relying on fundraising activities and donations from members of community. EVA is a non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and registered in the State of Illinois. It was created for the purpose of assisting Ecuadorian institutions devoted to educational, social, and health programs for the poor, neglected, and at-risk segments of the population. EVA is run by volunteers, and the various programs are implemented through network of viable, non-profit Ecuadorian institutions previously selected by a careful screening process. EVA requires that all the funds collected and distributed as yearly grants be only used for programmatic objectives of the organization it sponsors. EVA's Community Assistance Grant was instituted in 2008 to improve the quality of life of economically disadvantaged people living in the Chicago Metropolitan area where EVA is located. I Since its inception, we have been giving opportunities to advance educational, health, and human service programs in the local community.
Sergeant Bluff Fire & Rescue is an all volunteer fire department founded in 1924. The department provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to the City of Sgt. Bluff, Woodbury Township, and surrounding areas through mutual aid agreements.
The purpose of Lake Clarke Rescue shall be to cultivate, encourage, and stimulate interest in water safety, to protect the interests of those persons of not only boating in all its phases, but outdoor recreation as well. To foster, encourage and actively participate in teaching and practicing water safety as applied to outdoor life and recreation and to aid in the protection of all wildlife.
Eastern Salisbury Fire Dept provides emergency services for the east side of Salisbury Township between Allentown and Bethlehem. ESFD provides mutual aid to Western Salisbury FD, Fountain Hill FD, Allentown FD along with departments throughout southern Lehigh and Northampton Counties. ESFD operates 2 Engines, a Heavy Rescue, a Tanker, 2 Brush Trucks, and a Fire Police unit.
