It was the year 1978, when our founder, Anuben Thakkar, ventured into a virtually uncharted territory with nothing but divine inspiration from her Guru, Muni Maharaj. She set up a small hut at Goraj, with the noble vision to serve the local tribal communities with proper health, and education facilities.

The organization is operated exclusively for religious charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 c 3 of the United States Internal Revenue Code or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code and for such related purposes as may be permitted to religious charitable and educational corporations which are organized under Florida Not For Profit Corporation Code. This includes for such purposes to provide financial material moral and spiritual support primarily to the members of the Compassionate Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Inc. CFSOP and to other missionaries in their ministries which exist to defend provide for and promote the dignity of the poor the unborn and all human life and the administering of homes and centers to provide essential basic human care evangelization education and Christian works of mercy to abandoned and neglected women children the elderly street children and orphans and the destitute poor.

The main purpose of the Project for the People of Paraguay is to help the poor of Paraguay move from poverty to independence by implementing and/or supporting self-help, self-development programs that involve the family and their communities. The PPP emphasizes the care of the total person by meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of poor families. The PPP commits to help people embrace a strong personal faith, to lead productive lives, and to create healthy families and communities

Farm of the Child USA is a Catholic, non-profit organization that supports Finca del Niño-Honduras, a mission modeled on the Holy Family that educates, protects, and promotes healing and spiritual formation for orphaned and abandoned children, and families in the local community.

In the past year, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, assisted approximately 28,000 neighbours in Waterloo Region. Yearly, The Food Bank distributes over 3 million pounds of food to community individuals who are facing challenging circumstances. Food is distributed through a partnership of 76 member agencies and community programs which provide emergency food hampers and meals. The Compass is a drop-in centre and food bank, serving south Mississauga. It is an outreach initiative of Christian churches in the Clarkson/Lorne Park/Port Credit community.
