The Friends of the Drew Forest is an entirely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created by environmental leaders from Madison and neighboring towns, dedicated community volunteers and Drew University alumni. Our vision is that the Drew Forest Preserve will be permanently protected as open space through a conservation sale that will strengthen Drew University and its financial future. Instead of selling to a developer, we propose a win-win: If Drew works with Madison Borough to sell this special land for full market value to a conservation buyer, Drew could benefit financially while securing the forest for student and public use. We are dedicated to forming partnerships to: - Protect and sustain the Drew Forest Preserve, 53 biodiverse acres that provide countless benefits to Drew University, Madison Borough, and surrounding communities along with critical wildlife habitat; - Raise awareness about the value of forests in aquifer protection, supporting biodiversity, climate resilience, temperature control, air quality, and quality of life; - Facilitate the enjoyment, understanding, and study of nature.

Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls. Our network of around 80,000 club members in 130 countries and territories works at a local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls. Founded in 1924, Soroptimist International of Long Beach (SILB), a California Nonprofit Corporation, is a volunteer service organization for women in business, management and the professions.

Christian Medical & Dental Associations exists to glorify God by educating, equipping and motivating Christian health professionals and students. Our Twin Cities Chapter encourages students at the University of Minnesota in their career and faith journeys, while connecting them with graduate members.

To help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.StatisticsLLLI provides over $33 million per year of in-kind services.LLLI reaches well over 300,000 people in 63 countries every month.Approximately 39,000 Leaders have been accredited in the past 44 years. Each LLL Group is attended by an average of 10 women per month, with many Groups attracting 20-30 mothers. LLLI s Center for Breastfeeding Information (CBI) contains more than 17,000 full-length research studies with more than 300 categories of breastfeeding data and adds over 125 new studies a month.The LLLI Board of Directors includes members from six countries.7 LLLI maintains consultative status with the United Nations Children s Fund (UNICEF), official working relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), acts as a registered Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) for the Agency of International Development (USAID), is an accredited member of the US Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies Coalition, and is a founding member of the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) LLLI is a member of the Child Survival Collaborations and Resources Group (CORE).

Soroptimist improves the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.

Operating since 1981, we serve . . . the working poor, the unemployed and the homeless. Thousands come to us each year for a helping hand. It is only through the generosity of the community that we are able to give that helping hand. Our programs include . . . THE HAVEN - emergency shelter for youth ages 16-21 . . . RENT/UTILITY - assistance for people with an eviction notice or utility shut-off notice to help remain in their housing . . . EMERGENCY SHELTER - for adults and families. Temporary shelter and assistance in locating permanent housing . . . GENESIS - provides clothing and small household items at no cost . . . FOOD BANK - provides grocery store style selection with dry goods, bakery items, refrigerator and freezer sections. Clients can access every 21 days . . . SOUP KITCHEN - serves a hot meal 365 days of the year in a social setting.

AFIRE's mission is to build the capacity of the Filipino American community of Chicago to affect transformative social change through grassroots education, action, research, and services.

The primary purpose to join and organize Ecuadorians, their families and friends or other nations that live in California so that jointly we can carry on projects of assistance to those in need in Ecuador and in the United States. AECalifornia carries on its objectives by social activities, intellectual, cultural, sports and events of service to the community. The organization is open to the public at large and welcomes anyone who shares our ideas and not for profit activities, our mission and objectives. We share friendship, typical Ecuadorian food and that of other countries. Together we plan projects to help our brothers and sisters in need in Ecuador and in the United States. We share our friendship, culture, music, singing and dancing and organize activities to raise funds to carry on our charitable activities in support of hospitals, nursing homes, emergency relief, medical missions, for children and the needy. We support the medical missions from American doctors going to Ecuador to perform surgeries on Ecuadorian children and the poor.

About Us: Our Bridgeport club was founded in 1992, and is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas which was founded in 1921. Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. A 501(c)(3) organization, Soroptimist relies on charitable contributions to fund its programs. Local members join with almost 100,000 Soroptimists in more than120 countries and territories to contribute time and financial support to community-based projects benefiting women. Soroptimist International has consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council, which oversees U.N. activities promoting human rights. In addition to sponsoring the awards programs, our club has participated in community programs focused on various health and human service issues for women and girls, such as the Center for Women and Families, Mi Casa/My Home, Women and Men’s Health Project, Project Courage, and Local Soup Kitchens.
