Our mission is to strengthen disaster response in America by rescuing and recruiting dogs and partnering them with firefighters and other first responders to find people buried alive in the wreckage of disasters. Since our inception in 1996, SDF has trained over 231 teams in California, Florida, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Baja California who have responded to over 200 disasters across the US and internationally. Surge for Water is a women-led nonprofit organization working hand-in-hand with communities to provide safe water, sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health solutions to rural, remote communities in Haiti, Philippines, Indonesia, and Uganda. Surge’s solutions include wells, rainwater harvesters, filters, toilets and education on hygiene and menstrual health. By providing access to these basic needs, Surge helps communities achieve improvements in education, health, income and overall well-being.

Founded in 1921, Soroptimist International of the Americas is an international organization for business and professional women who provide volunteer service to their communities. About 45,000 Soroptimists in 20 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community-based and international projects benefiting women and girls. Soroptimist International of the Americas is part of Soroptimist International, which comprises almost 95,000 members in about 120 countries.The name, Soroptimist, means 'best for women,' and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best working to help other women to be their best.Soroptimist members belong to local clubs, which determine the focus of service to their communities. Club projects range from renovating domestic violence shelters, to providing mammograms to low-income women, to sponsoring self-esteem workshops for teenage girls. In addition, Soroptimists participate in organization-wide programs that include the Women's Opportunity Awards, Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls, the Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence, the Making a Difference for Women Award and the Violet Richardson Award. All projects seek to make life better for women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.

Ashley Rising believes women and children made vulnerable by a life context of violence, abuse, oppression, inequality, drug and alcohol addiction, poverty and/or homelessness are at particular risk of not being able to reach personal goals. Our mission shall be to remove obstacles and create opportunities for women and children to be able to achieve their goals. Our vision is a world in which each woman and child is able to achieve her personal, familial, social, and professional aspirations free from the constraints of such limiting factors as poverty, substance use, physical violence, emotional abuse, poverty, inequality, and oppression. Our purpose shall be to partner with or provide funding to enhance or expand women-centered agencies and organizations, especially where such services are largely limited or unavailable, to help these women and their children become self-sufficient, contributing members of their communities. We will engage with local, national, and international organizations who support our mission and are already integral and viable parts of their local communities and/or establish organizations to provide services which may include, but are not limited to, comprehensive physical health, mental health, and social services; education, job-training skills, and employment; and research.
