Friends of the Library-Southport Oak Island's primary purpose is to provide financial and operational support to Harper Library (Southport) and to Barbee Library (Oak Island), thus enabling them to remain current, accessible and appealing. FOLSOI raises money for upgrades to book collections, equipment and facilities. Its volunteers sponsor educational and cultural programs to engage library patrons of all ages. FOLSOIs vision and dedication enable the libraries to thrive as vibrant assets in the community.
