The Growing Leaders Initiative is a 501c3 organization that exists to provide habitudes (character-based, student-leadership development) to schools that cannot afford to purchase programs for their students. In both urban and rural environments, students are confined emotionally, behaviorally, and spiritually. In some places, students never leave a 9-block radius or a 9-mile radius from their home. They don’t leave the familiar because they’re never given the opportunity. We want to change that. We want to broaden their vision, and help them take bigger risks, think bigger thoughts, and pursue bigger goals. We want to enable them to become the best version of themselves.

The Institute for Educational Advancement (IEA) is dedicated to the intellectual, creative, and personal growth in our nation’s gifted and high potential youth. The Southwest School of Art & Craft teaches, preserves, and advances the visual arts. We expand the creative potential of our community and connect cultures of the world through participatory learning experiences. In addition, its purpose is also to preserve and present the former Ursuline Convent and Academy as a place of historic significance.

BENEFITTING FROM ITS SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA LOCATION, THE COLLEGE PREPARES STUDENTS FOR LIFELONG CREATIVE WORK BY CULTIVATING INNOVATION, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY.

Founded in 1964, California Poets in the Schools (CalPoets) is one of the largest literary artists-in-residence programs in the nation. We encourage students throughout California to recognize and celebrate their creativity, intuition, and intellectual curiosity through the creative poetry writing process. We provide students with a multicultural community of published poets, specially trained to bring their experience and love for their craft into the classroom. CalPoets serves 26,000 students annually in hundreds of public and private schools, juvenile halls, after-school programs, hospitals, and other community settings.

The Friends of the Arava Institute’s mission is to support the critical work of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies through public awareness, student recruitment and fundraising campaigns. The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies is an environmental, research, and academic institution located in Israel, dedicated to advancing cross-border environmental cooperation in the face of political conflict. The Institute prepares future leaders - Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and students around the world - to cooperatively solve the regional and global challenges of our time, teaching them that "Nature Knows No Borders."
