Bamyan Foundation is a registered non-profit, non-partisan and an all-volunteer section 501(c)(3) charity in the Washington DC area. We are dedicated to promoting and providing support to at-risk populations in Afghanistan in the following key areas: education, healthcare, women empowerment, community development and youth programs. We believe that improvements in these areas will result in sustainable and equitable social development and stability in Afghanistan.

The Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program provides students with a high quality music education, instills an emotional connection with and lifelong passion for music, fosters a diverse community of musicians, and offers outstanding symphonic performance opportunities for students to share their musical gifts with the community

PeerForward transforms the lives of low-income youth by connecting them to college and careers through our innovative program, PeerForward. The PeerForward Method guides students to make postsecondary education plans by tapping a resource found in every single high school in the nation: influential students. It is informed and validated by research on the key actions essential for postsecondary degree attainment. We train teams of influential students to run campaigns in their schools driving actions that research shows are the leading indicators to eventual postsecondary enrollment and success: filing for financial aid, applying to at least three institutions, and connecting career aspirations with academic decisions made in high school.

KAFDOC works closely with the disadvantaged population, childrens groups, and government institutions to improve living conditions through active participation We work on sustainable natural resources management, education improvement, income generation activities for poor families, improving healthcare, improving good governance processes, disaster management, children rights, promoting gender rights, community based eco-tourism and increased agricultural production

Ecology in Classrooms and Outdoors (ECO) inspires elementary school students to connect to our natural world through hands-on ecology enrichment programs. Our programs include a series of nature lessons + activities in students' classrooms and schoolyards, and culminate in service-learning projects in the students' community.

Free Minds uses books and creative writing to empower incarcerated teenaged boys in Washington, DC to transform their lives. By mentoring and connecting them to supportive services throughout their incarceration into reentry, Free Minds inspires these youths to see their potential and achieve new educational and career goals.
