Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance

The Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance intertwines and connects all facets of the fiber arts community.  Open to anyone with an interest in fiber, yarn, fabric, or textiles, SEFAA celebrates, supports, promotes, and perpetuates all fiber art forms. We do so by offering classes, workshops, tours, open studio hours, events, and exhibitions as well as rental space for fiber-related events and studio artists.

E2D INC

Founded in 2013, E2D, Inc., Eliminate the Digital Divide, strives to provide digital inclusion opportunities and tools for all economically disadvantaged students and their families in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS). Our mission is to ensure that every student has the essential at-home access to computer technology and digital literacy support necessary to achieve academic success. Additionally, E2D strives to create opportunity for these CMS students to gain an increasingly wider scope of exposure to technology through skill development and educational programming in an effort to promote IT workforce development within a population of under-served and under-utilized youth.

Virginia State University Foundation

The purpose of the Foundation is to support the mission of Virginia State University by receiving, managing and distributing donations and contributions that aid in the enhancement and growth of the University. Virginia State University, a public, comprehensive 1890 Land Grant institution and historically black college/university, is committed to the preparation of a diverse population of men and women through the advancement of academic programs and services that integrate instruction, research, extension, and outreach. The University endeavors to meet the educational needs of students, graduating lifelong learners who are well equipped to serve their communities as informed citizens, globally competitive leaders, and highly effective, ethical professionals.

Kingdom Rock Childrens Village

At Kingdom Rock Children’s Village we provide a quality education in a warm and loving environment, based on the teaching and examples of Jesus Christ. We seek to nurture and develop each child’s educational, social and spiritual potential. Our goal is that every child under our care would flourish and grow as a confident, unique creation of God, with a strong connection to others and their world, and be well-equipped for future learning.

Project Esperanza

Project Esperanza is a non-profit organization that began as and remains a Virginia Tech student organization. Project Esperanza serves to connect the Blacksburg, Virginia community and the Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic community through service. Our programs are designed to work toward breaking the cycle of poverty present among the lower social classes in these two communities, as well toward breaking the cycle of apathy present among the upper classes.

Since 1995, Kids Hope USA has responded to that need by connecting students with caring and consistent mentors who are committed to their futures. Sunjams Productions

The Sunjams Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to use music as a healing force. We present live outdoor concerts as a way of bringing people together who also believe in the healing power of music. Our goal is to help fund music education in local public elementary schools because we believe that music education is one of the most effective means of helping kids develop a positive connection with school.
