Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation

The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization #20-1702191 is dedicated to honoring the life of our inspiration, Jimmy Miller, by supporting the healing of mental and physical illness through surfing and ocean related activities. Through recreational, education, and mentoring programs, the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation enables surfers, educators, therapists, lifeguards and friends to help people affected by mental and physical illness feel the joy and healing power of the ocean and surfing. JMMF pioneered the formation of an adaptive surfing program titled Ocean Therapy, where surfing is used as a means to increase self-esteem and self-efficacy in individuals suffering from mental and/or physical illness. The Ocean Therapy program is currently working with at risk children in the Los Angeles foster care community, veterans from all branches of the military and injured Marines in the Wounded Warrior Battalion in Camp Pendleton. We are looking to expand our programming to the addiction/recovery populations, victims and survivors of mass public and terrorist attacks, those suffering from suicidal ideation and anxiety, depression and other mental health illnesses.

Futebol da Forca Foundation

Futebol da forca [football gives strength] is an independent international foundation, educational platform and community for purpose-driven football coaches. The organisation was founded in Mozambique in 2012 to work within football to empower girls with agency to make informed decisions and live a life they value. Futebol da forca engages, trains and supports voluntary football coaches to empower girls within football, while changing attitudes and norms that today prevent girls from reaching their full potential, in order for girls to thrive far outside the football field.

Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation

The Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation teaches Americans about the academic and financial needs of Ukrainian Catholic educational institutions in Ukraine. In a sincere commitment to personal involvement and high standards, the UCEF works with these institutions hands-on to meet present needs and develop resources for the future. Through grant and endowment programs, distribution of books and teaching materials, and collaborative volunteer projects, emphasizing foreign exchange of students and faculty, we foster the communion of Ukrainian Americans with the Ukrainian nation and of Roman Catholics in the West with the largest Eastern Catholic Church.

The Santa Cruz Education Foundation works to ensure that all students in the Santa Cruz City Schools district, kindergarten through high school, have an outstanding educational experience. Since 2003, has sponsored a variety of educational programs in order to develop creative, capable, and engaged learners.Through monetary donations, hundreds of volunteer hours, community outreach to our database of 10,000 members, and key partnerships, we work to ensure that every one of the 7000 students at our 10 campuses has opportunities to enrich their education, with particular concern for the 40% of students who qualify for free/reduced-priced meals.

The Young Women’s Empowerment Foundation (YWE) is dedicated to strengthening the self-esteem, character, integrity and capacity of young women ages 14-20 so that they may achieve their highest potential.
