Excellent, Accessible, & Thoroughly Disciples Education in the Western United States Disciples Seminary Foundation works with four partner seminaries on the West Coast to provide excellent education, networking, and financial support for people preparing to lead in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and United Church of Christ.

 The Rockefeller University was founded in 1901 by John D. Rockefeller Sr. as The Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research. Over the years, 24 scientists associated with the university have received Nobel Prizes and 21 have earned the Albert Lasker Medical Research Award.
