The mission of Lewis & Clark is to know the traditions of the liberal arts, to test their boundaries through ongoing exploration, and to hand on to successive generations the tools and discoveries of this quest. By these means the institution pursues the aims of all liberal learning: to seek knowledge for its own sake and to prepare for civic leadership. Lewis & Clark carries out this mission through undergraduate programs in the arts and sciences and postgraduate programs in the closely related professions of education, counseling, and law. Lewis & Clark mounts these programs as both separately valid and mutually supportive enterprises. In all its endeavors it seeks to be a community of scholars who are alive to inquiry, open to diversity, and disciplined to work in an interdependent world.

The Housatonic Community College Foundation was founded in 1990 by a group of Greater Bridgeport residents and business and arts leaders. The Foundation provides financial assistance to the College and its students beyond the fundamentals provided by the State of Connecticut and assists the College in becoming a unique educational resource for its students and the community. The Foundation also serves as a vehicle generating funding for Housatonic student scholarships, student emergency assistance, child care assistance for parents enrolled at Housatonic, program enhancements and support of the Housatonic Museum of Art.

THE WICHITA STATE UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION, AS THE PRIVATE FUND RAISING ORGANIZATION OF THE UNIVERSITY, SEEKS TO ADVANCE THE MISSION OF THE UNIVERSITY BY IDENTIFYING, CULTIVATING AND SOLICITING PRIVATE SUPPORT FROM INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS AND FOUNDATIONS. PRIVATE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THE PROGRAMS AND VISION OF THE UNIVERSITY. The Mission of the OCCC Foundation is to advance educational opportunities at Oregon Coast Community College by raising funds for college needs and increasing public awareness of the College and its many benefits. The Mission of the College: At Oregon Coast Community College we equip students for success by providing educational pathways and supports in response to the diverse needs of our community. Through accessible and engaging programs, we enrich the economic and civic vitality of Lincoln County and beyond. Our primary service area is Lincoln County, Oregon.

We share these values of our founding patron, George Washington: integrity, determination, curiosity, civility, leadership, and moral courage.  We offer academic rigor and self-discovery in a supportive, residential community of well-qualified, diverse, and motivated individuals. The Jennie Goas Silverman Foundation was created with love by some of Jennie's closest friends to honor her spirit, sparkle and brilliance. Jennie was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in June of 2016 and fought a hard battle with this devastating disease until she passed away on May 20, 2017. Jennie was a special person who impacted the lives of the people she touched. First and foremost she was a daughter, sister, wife and friend, and she always took those roles seriously. Next, she was a teacher, a high school math teacher in the CPS system. She was beautiful inside and out, she was generous, she was brilliant, she was humble and she was kind. These qualities have inspired us to create this foundation and continue to help her spirit live on through philanthropy. The Jennie Goas Silverman Foundations fundraising efforts have a dual approach: 1) Raise funds to award a qualified senior year student(s) in the communities Jennie taught with a scholarship to attend a 4-year college. 2) Raise funds and awareness for Triple Negative Breast Cancer research. Through our mission we hope to give back to the community Jennie lived and worked in and continue to fight in her honor to find a cure for triple negative breast cancer.

 The Rockefeller University was founded in 1901 by John D. Rockefeller Sr. as The Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research. The first institution in the United States devoted solely to using biomedical research to understand the underlying causes of disease, Rockefeller is today one of the foremost biomedical research centers in the world, and its scientists have made numerous seminal contributions to biology and medicine. Over the years, 24 scientists associated with the university have received Nobel Prizes and 21 have earned the Albert Lasker Medical Research Award. Fourteen Rockefeller scientists have received the Gairdner Foundation International Award and 14 have been given the National Medal of Science, the nation's highest scientific honor. In addition to a century of prize-winning breakthroughs, Rockefeller has devoted over half a century to training the next generation of innovative, pathbreaking scientists.
