David Hochstein Memorial Music School

The mission of the David Hochstein Memorial Music School is to provide our community with excellent music and dance education in an environment which nurtures and encourages personal achievement.

Bhutan Canada Foundation

BCF fosters cooperation and goodwill between Bhutan and Canada in several ways: Our main program is a teacher program, in which we work with the Ministry of Education in Bhutan to send qualified teachers to teach in public schools in some of the most rural parts of the country. Since January 2010, BCF has sent a total of 69 teachers to 39 different communities across Bhutan. These teachers have directly impacted the lives of over 10,800 Bhutanese students. We also offer scholarships for Bhutanese youth to complete secondary education in Canada. Finally, as one of the only North American organizations with a permanent presence in Bhutan, we serve as a cultural liaison for many visitors to the country.

Vibe Theater Experience

viBe Theater Experience (viBe) produces original, free theater, music and videos about real-life issues written and performed by teen girls. We provide a safe, creative space for under-served girls to express their voices, take on challenges and gain the self-confidence necessary to succeed personally, artistically and academically. viBe empowers girls through free programs, which engage and inspire them to write, create, publish, direct and perform personal and truthful collaborative theater and music. Since 2002, over 60 viBe productions have brought free theater, live musical performances, music videos and radio plays to thousands of diverse audience members, changing their perceptions about the kind of art that young women can create.

Project Vote Smart is dedicated to providing accurate, abundant, and relevant information on candidates, incumbents, and issues free of charge, while also upholding the highest standards of accuracy, balance, and integrity of any information gathered or shared. 

B Sharp Youth Music Program

The B Sharp Youth Music Program, based in the heart of Como, is a free music education program based in Fort Worth. It is the only El Sistema-inspired music program in North Texas. El Sistema-inspired programs are unique to the community and culture of its participants and are a vehicle for social change and betterment through the teaching of music.

Jacksonville Public Libraries Foundation, Inc.

People who understand the power of free access to information call libraries the collective memory of humanity. The JPL Foundation serves N.E. Florida by providing funds for programs and materials over and above traditional tax base funding for the Jacksonville Public Library. The Foundation encourages investments in the future of our community through a variety of giving opportunities, i.e., capital campaigns, donations, grants, endowment fund, Planned Giving programs and memorials.

Museum Of Public Relations

To serve as the global repository of historical documents, artifacts, film, and books related to the development of the PR profession. Just as important, we teach students the role of PR in shaping culture, politics and business throughout history. As the world's only such archive for PR materials, we host hundreds of students and scholars from around the world each year. We also produce free events for students showcasing the role of women and minorities in our history-- individuals left out of the textbooks.

Tada Theatre And Dance Alliance

TADA!’s mission is to provide young people from different backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to be creative, learn, and think differently. TADA! is a unique Drama Desk award-winning nonprofit youth theater that produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. We offer a free, year-round, pre-professional training and a positive youth development program for the Resident Youth Ensemble (ages 8-18); musical theater classes/camps for the public; as well as musical theater residencies in NYC schools and community centers. Through TADA!’s high-quality work, young people’s self-confidence and creativity are enhanced, which develops advanced skills in leadership, communication, responsibility, collaboration, and problem-solving – skills that help with growing up and are essential to their success both in school and in life.

PACIFIC POST PARTUM SUPPORT SOCIETY

The Pacific Post Partum Support Society (PPPSS) offers support to women and their families who are experiencing postpartum depression and/or anxiety (PPD/A), as well as to women who are pregnant and experiencing emotional distress. The Society's support program is based on a self-help/mutual aid model. Trained group facilitators and telephone volunteers support mothers attending PPPSS groups throughout the Lower Mainland of BC, and during public phone hours staff provide helpful information and understanding support to callers (Tel. 604-255-7999). PPPSS also offers information nights for partners; interactive talks at mother and baby groups; workshops, lectures and training programs for interested groups and professionals; and free information in print. Publications for sale dealing with PPD/A include "A Self-Help Guide for Mothers", "Un guide pratique pour les méres", "A Reference Manual for Group Facilitators", and "A Reference Manual for Telephone Support Volunteers".
