Burnaby Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the medical equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is a 300 bed, community based, acute care hospital caring for over 230,000 people every year. Our Emergency department is one of the busiest in the Province of BC and treats over 45,000 adults and 12,000 children annually.

First Book Canada works through existing community programs, with Canadian publishing partners and an ever-expanding network of volunteers, to provide a steady stream of high quality books to elevate educational programming and improve access to reading materials. Indspire (the former National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation) is a registered national charity that provides the necessary tools for Indigenous peoples, especially youth to achieve their potential. Our focus is on supporting, innovating, and fundamentally transforming Indigenous education. To date, Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures: Bursaries and Scholarship Awards program has awarded over $49-million in bursaries and scholarships to over 14,000 First Nation, Inuit and Métis students nationwide. Our other programs, Soaring: Indigenous Youth Career Conferences and Industry in the Classroom: Indigenous Youth Career Seminars, focus on introducing students to potential careers and opportunities. Each year we recognize 14 outstanding Indigenous achievers at the Indspire Awards. This nationally televised gala provides role models for Indigenous youth and celebrates the rich contributions First Nation, Inuit and Métis people have made to their communities and Canada.

Civic Nebraska works to create a more modern and robust democracy for all Nebraskans. While our organization is divided into three program areas, Civic Health, Youth Civic Engagement, and Voting Rights, these programs work in tandem to invest in the lives of Nebraskans. Founded in 1942, Coro's mission is to strengthen our democratic system of self-governance by training individuals who as citizens and leaders will act constructively and effectively to build up and improve their communities and societies as a whole. Using a proprietary curriculum involving sector placements, group participation, interviews, and seminars, Coro participants learn about leadership across multiple sectors, industries, and issues. Coro's training enhances participants' skills in the following areas: analysis and critical thinking; effective communication; inquiry; and ethical decision-making, among others. In its 68-year history, Coro has graduated thousands of leaders from its many programs. Coro graduates have become teachers, investment bankers, union leaders, corporate directors, activists, lawyers, journalists, and elected officials, among other professions. Coro graduates use the skills and commitment to integrity they developed to guide them throughout their life's journeys, and to strengthen our local and national democracy.

American Leadership Forum - Silicon Valley (ALF) mission is to build a better Silicon Valley community by joining and strengthening leaders to serve the common good. ALF pursues this objective by bringing together a broad cross-section of leaders who are committed to building a stronger community, by developing collaborative leadership skills to identify and deal with complex and difficult issues, and by providing leaders with opportunities to work together in ways that can make a difference.

At P2L we believe that all children have the creative and intellectual power to be a positive agent in their schools, communities, and lives. Our students are challenged on a daily basis by stress, violence, and poverty; this impacts their ability to learn, make positive decisions, and form healthy relationships. For many, these challenges are overwhelming: they struggle academically, fall behind, and drop out. P2L works with students, teachers, and parents to change this trajectory. Through mentoring and interactive curriculum based in learning science, child development, social emotional learning, and neuroscience we help students to build self -image, resiliency, and social skills, and we motivate and teach them self-direction, self-management, and goal setting to enable them to become thriving and successful adults.
