A.L.I.V.E. Milwaukee is a unique organization fostering a variety of achievement skills for youngsters in business, arts, professional development and educational attainment. It grows out of the proven experience of its supporters to dramatically improve the lives of youth in Greater Milwaukee. A.L.I.V.E. has functioned since 2012 in Milwaukee but its organizational design and structure have been effective for well over a decade in both local and national initiatives.

Magnificat Maternal Health Project is a program of Maternal Life International. The mission of Maternal Life International is to promote safe births and nurture secure families through couple-centered healthcare and education. Devoted in all its work to respecting the life and dignity of all persons, born and unborn, MLI provides training, resources, and advocacy that help advance maternal and family health in Africa, Haiti, and beyond.

Community Music School of Springfield, founded in 1983, is a non-profit community arts school in Western Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide an equitable and inclusive center of excellence in music education that empowers individuals, inspires creative passion, and promotes well-being in our greater community. We serve more than 2,000 students annually at our downtown Springfield location and in our community partnership programs.

First Book Canada works through existing community programs, with Canadian publishing partners and an ever-expanding network of volunteers, to provide a steady stream of high quality books to elevate educational programming and improve access to reading materials. The Worcester Youth Orchestras, Inc. Founded in 1947, the Worcester Youth Orchestras (WYO) have maintained a presence in Central Massachusetts for more than 60 years offering musical training, orchestral experiences and fostering life long friendships for aspiring young musicians. The mission of WYO is twofold - first, providing youth with an educational and enjoyable musical experience to build the qualities of teamwork, self-discipline and diligence that will benefit them now and as adults. And second, providing accessible live musical performances and cultural enrichment to the greater Worcester community.

Founded in 1954, Lyric Opera of Chicago's mission is to express and promote the life-changing, transformational, revelatory power of great opera. Lyric exists to provide a broad, deep, and relevant cultural service to Chicago and the nation, and to advance the development of the art form. Lyric is dedicated to producing and performing consistently thrilling, entertaining, and thought-provoking opera with a balanced repertoire of core classics, lesser-known masterpieces, and new works; to creating an innovative and wide-ranging program of community engagement and educational activities; and to developing exceptional emerging operatic talent.

We, the Society of the Third Street Music School Settlement, believe that a knowledge and appreciation of music and the arts is fundamental to the development of each individual and that the arts provide unique opportunities for cultural exchange and community understanding. The Center for Asian Pacific American Women (CAPAW) is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to the enhancement and enrichment of leadership skills for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women through education, networking, and mentorship. For over 20 years, CAPAW has provided a variety of professional development programs – from intensive training institutes to national leadership summits to one day regional seminars and workshops – to address the specific needs of AAPI women across the country. CAPAW’s vision is to develop ethical and compassionate AAPI women to take on leadership roles in the private and public sectors.

Rock the Vote engages young people in our democracy and builds their political power by registering, educating and turning them out to vote, by forcing the candidates to campaign to them, and by making politicians pay attention to youth and the issues they care about once in office. We use music, popular culture, new technologies and old fashioned grassroots organizing to engage and mobilize young people to participate in every election, and provide the information and tools they need to do so.  And we amplify the actions of those young people who step up to claim their voice in the process in order to create political and social change.

The mission of the ACCE Institute is to improve the lives of low income and working families in California by carrying out and supporting work that fosters community improvement and civic participation. The ACCE Institute conducts research on critical issues of concern to low- and moderate-income communities, educates the public and policy-makers about these issues, and provides capacity-building trainings to individuals and organizations. Additionally, the ACCE Institute works to increase the civic engagement of low–and – moderate income communities by helping local organizations develop non-partisan civic engagement efforts that encourage active public citizenship and voting in low and moderate-income communities.

As children, we all create art. We sing and dance together, we build sand castles, we make up stories and draw landscapes on the walls of our room. then somehow, life teaches us to become serious, get a 'real' profession and stop 'playing around', and links to our inner artist get broken. At Paracademia, we keep those links alive and awake them if they fall asleep. Paracademia is committed to nurturing and revitalizing our inner artists through the community efforts in education, collaborative productions and performances. We particularly support immigrants, especially women.
