Through a well-rounded and artistically-imbued curriculum, the Davis Waldorf School builds a strong academic, social, emotional, and physical foundation to cultivate each student's capacity for independent thinking, compassionate feeling, and responsible action, following the indications for the developmental phases of childhood and curriculum from Rudolf Steiner.

The Millard Elementary School staff is committed to preparing ALL students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. Their staff works as a cohesive and committed team to ensure high academic achievement and excellent behavior. They have a very active parent community and invite all of the parents to become involved with them in their children's success.

Wissahickon Charter School was planned around three essential elements: 1. An integrated environmental focus, recognizing the importance of service learning, 2. Peace, conflict resolution, and community building as part of a prioritized social curriculum, and 3. An emphasis on family involvement at all levels of the school organization, with special emphasis on parents as partners in the learning experiences of their children.

Trinity Academy is an independent tuition-free elementary school serving students and their families in the Hartford area. Our purpose is to educate in a nurturing and inclusive community with a focus on academics, the arts, literacy and critical thinking. Our Mission and Philosophy Alvarado is more than a school; it is a community. We are a school of languages, arts, cultures and social justice. Our mission is to reach and teach the heart and soul of the child through a fertile language experience, math, the arts and sciences. We believe community, equity and the transformative power of a challenging education help our students reach their potential. Alvarado offers a quality General Education as well as an award-winning Spanish Immersion program. A resident artist works curriculum into painting and clay projects created in our art room; a science instructor leads the children through experiments in our science lab. We also focus on the social and emotional growth of our students, celebrating our ethnic differences while sharing our Cougar pride. Academic Program Alvarado is a dual-immersion TK–5th grade school with 530+ students in four programs: General Education, Spanish Immersion, Special Education and Transitional Kindergarten. Our teachers follow the curriculum established by the San Francisco Unified School District. Our Spanish and English curriculums mirror each other and are based on Macmillan/McGraw Hill for social studies; Reading & Writing Workshop for language arts; Common Core and DreamBox for mathematics; and the Full Option Science System (FOSS). Our programs also provide daily instruction in English Language Development.

Manhattan New School (MNS), P.S. 290, is a true community of learners as evidenced by their rigorous academics and the dynamic relationship between students, teachers, administrators, staff and families. The mission of Canyon Heights Academy is to provide the highest quality education to our students and contribute to their integral (intellectual, human, spiritual and apostolic) formation as Catholic Christian leaders. Through them, we seek to contribute to social renewal in light of the Gospel. Canyon Heights students should be young people of integrity and character who command a knowledge of their faith, the humanities, and the sciences. Students should display a critical discernment and possess a disposition toward service.

Saturday Academy strives to engage all motivated young people, including those from under-represented communities, in hands-on, in-depth learning by connecting them to community experts as educators and mentors. Their vision is that all interested, pre-college students in our region will have the opportunity to interact with community experts and experience professional environments in ways that assist them in developing intellectually and preparing for rewarding careers. Saturday Academy's innovative programs are open to all students in grades 2 through 12. They value all learning, and offer experiences in many disciplines. They emphasize science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), because these fields are critical for children's careers and their fast pace of change is difficult to address in traditional school settings. Saturday Academy was founded in 1983, and became an independent 501c3 nonprofit in 2006. Saturday Academy has provided instruction to more than 190,000 students throughout Oregon and SW Washington.

Alma Fuerte is a place where each child is treasured and valued for his or her unique gifts. A place where students are encouraged to embrace challenges, develop self-motivation, and take ownership of their future. They believe in a holistic approach to learning, fostering each child's academic success as well as their social/emotional growth. At Alma Fuerte we believe in a growth mindset. Their goal is to bring out the entrepreneur in each child by developing their critical thinking skills, leadership ability, and fostering their unique creativity.
