Averroes High School is a community marked by collaboration, self-discovery, critical thinking, compassion, spirituality, and impassioned learning. Our goal is to transform the high school experience for the American teenager through providing a space that not only focuses on academic discipline, but prepares students for life. We believe that learning should be active and at Averroes we constantly strive to challenge students to discover their own potential. Founded in 1950, Coast Episcopal School's purpose is to foster a life-long love of learning and to develop each student's potential: intellectually, creatively, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually, in preparation for college and life. The Gail Keenan Art Gallery furthers the mission of Coast Episcopal School: fostering a lifelong love of learning while enhancing our longstanding emphasis on both academic excellence and the arts. The mission of the art gallery is to accompany and enhance arts education at CES and its connection to the development of the whole child. The gallery provides a visual space for the students to nurture and express their artistic talents and "experience" themselves as creative contributors to our world. It serves as a teaching resource to enable students to make connections between art and life, while expanding learning opportunities through the robust visiting artists program. Through exhibiting works of regional artists, the gallery serves the community at large and increases awareness of the broad education offered at Coast Episcopal School. The Gail Keenan Art Gallery brings artists from local and regional areas to engage with the students allowing them to better understand themselves and to foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s Waldorf education system, the mission of Desert Marigold School is to provide an educational context that emphasizes not only intellectual achievement, but also the imaginative, artistic, and moral growth of its students. By addressing their heads, hands and hearts, the school will encourage students to be life-long learners and independent thinkers as well as self motivated, self-disciplined, creative, adaptable and responsible individuals. Little Kids Rock transforms lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in our schools! Little Kids Rock began in 1996 as an informal effort by ESL teacher David Wish to give his San Francisco Bay Area second grade students a music enrichment program because the school did not have funding for one. What began as one teacher’s effort to bring music education to a few dozen public school children has catapulted into a national nonprofit that serves hundreds of thousands of young people year after year. Little Kids Rock was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2002, and has since expanded with programs in 48 states. We accomplished this by: • Championing an innovative modern band music education that connects learning to the music kids already know and love—styles including rock, pop, hip-hop, country, EDM, reggae, and other contemporary styles as they emerge—performed on guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, drums, vocals, and technology • Recruiting, training, and equipping public school teachers to start music programs utilizing our methods and materials • Partnering with public school districts to provide a quality music education to as many young people as possible—especially those in underserved communities Today, Little Kids Rock is the largest nonprofit provider of musical instruments, program curriculum, and teacher training in the country. Having trained more than 5,000 teachers and served more than 1,000,000 students in 500 public school districts to date, Little Kids Rock has emerged as a national thought leader in the field of music education to become a valued service provider to the U.S. public school system.

The mission of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee is to take part in conserving wildlife and endangered species, to educate people about the importance of wildlife and the environment, and to support the Milwaukee County Zoo.
