St. Mary’s Dominican High School, sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of Peace, is a Catholic college-preparatory program for young women rooted in the tradition of prayer, study, community, and service. Founded in 1983, the mission of Writers in the Schools (WITS) is to engage children in the joy and power of reading and writing. WITS was founded through the University of Houston's renowned creative writing program to bring some of our nation's most talented writers into school and community classrooms to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children. The WITS program is an effective force for educational change, integrating arts and education to ignite a love of learning in more than 400,000 children and their teachers since its founding. WITS leads an international movement for creative learning, helping children and teachers across the world explore literacy in creative ways.

Burr and Burton Academy's mission is to educate its students, intellectually and morally, for a life of responsibility, integrity, and service. It is a coeducational, nondenominational day school enrolling 756 students in grades 9 through 12. A small boarding program houses international students with local families. Located in the historic New England village of Manchester, Burr and Burton offers a college preparatory curriculum as well as general business and occupational programs. Students may also choose from among six areas of concentration: visual and performing arts, information technology, foreign languages, business, and vocational technology.

The mission of Oakland Kids First (OKF) is to increase youth voice, leadership, and power to create engaging and equitable public schools where all students learn and lead. Founded in 1996 by a multi-racial coalition of youth serving community based organizations, Oakland Kids First now works with 125 core youth leaders and 3,400 additional high school students each year across programs. OKF programs advance safe and caring school cultures, support youth to advocate for their needs and priorities, and improve educational equity, racial justice, and academic outcomes for low-income students of color. Our programs include youth development and organizing, academic support and intervention, enrichment, wellness, linked learning internships, and leadership training.

Denise Louie Education Center promotes school and life readiness by providing multi-cultural early learning services to children and families, especially those who need our services the most. We will respect and preserve each child and family's individuality, cultural heritage and home language. We will promote personal and social responsibility with integrity and love in an environment defined by social justice and peace.

Peace First was founded 25 years on a simple idea: If we are going to solve the world’s greatest injustices — including education access, tolerance and inclusion, social justice, violence, gender equity — the single most powerful thing we must do is prepare a generation of young people with the skills and commitments to solve problems by connecting across lines of difference with compassion, standing up for ideals and others with courage, and creating change through collaborative leadership.

Bellarmine College Preparatory is a community of men and women gathered together by God for the purpose of educating the student to seek justice and truth throughout his life. We are a Catholic school in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Founder of the Society of Jesus. As such, our entire school program is dedicated to forming "men for others" -- persons whose lives will be dedicated to bringing all their God-given talents to fullness and to living according to the pattern of service inaugurated by Jesus Christ.

The Center for Teaching and Learning is a K-8 demonstration school dedicated to the development and dissemination of authentic, rigorous, and joyful methods for teaching across the curriculum. We seek to teach and influence both a cross-section of children of mid-coastal Maine and, through our intern program, presentations, and publications, classroom teachers throughout the U.S.
