Monarch Montessori School

Their Mission In the spring of 2019, a group of Twin Cities educators, community members, and parents met to imagine a school grounded in Montessori pedagogy, accessible to families of all incomes, that places the needs of the children first. Monarch Montessori School opened its first Children's House environment in St. Paul, Minnesota for children ages 33 months through 6 years of age on September 8th, 2020. They are committed to providing a safe and healthy in-person educational option for families and offer tuition assistance to children of essential workers.

We support families with young children and infants. We prepare children for kindergarten and a lifetime of learning by offering them an emergent curriculum, nurturing staff, and a commitment to children's social well-being in an environment that respects and celebrates diversity. Our target population is an economically and ethnically diverse group of children. We are committed to serving as many low-income/subsidized children as possible, and in fact, often we have absorbed those costs in order to make sure that that we do not turn families for lack of funds.

Blythedale Childrens Hospital

The mission of Blythedale Children’s Hospital is to improve the health and quality of life of children. Founded in 1891 and based in Westchester County, Blythedale serves over 2,000 children in the New York City region each year, treating children of all ages and backgrounds through inpatient care, outpatient and day hospital services, and community-based therapy. More than two-thirds of our inpatients are from low-income households in New York City, and we serve all families regardless of their ability to pay.  Our multidisciplinary team has the expertise to improve the outlook for children who have a wide range of medical conditions and physical trauma, such as brain injuries, cancer, cerebral palsy, organ transplants, ventilator dependency, burn recovery, and rare diseases that no other specialty hospital in New York is equipped to handle. Blythedale is also the only children’s hospital in New York State with its own public school district on site, ensuring that our young patients can experience childhood in as normal a way as possible.
