Childcare Network Of Evanston

The Childcare Network of Evanston’s mission is to empower children and families through access to quality early childhood education, family supports, and a coordinated system of care. CNE links children to early education and provides families with comprehensive supports and connections to community resources. Through collaboration with community partners, and supported by local, state and federal funding, CNE aims to create a community hub, a service model including education, wellness, mental health and other supports for underserved children and families in our area.

The school’s curriculum is based on the philosophy that children are naturally curious and eager to learn.

The Early Learning Institute

The Early Learning Institute (teli) helps children to realize their full potential and enriches the lives of children and their families by: providing comprehensive programs and services for children with developmental delays in an inclusive environment; providing individualized developmental and preschool programs and services for children of varying abilities; and collaborating with other community organizations to carry out these missions.

The Sheltering Arms

Founded by Atlanta volunteers in 1888, the mission of Sheltering Arms Early Education & Family Centers is to empower families and strengthen communities by providing 1) high quality, affordable child care and  early education, 2) comprehensive support services for families, 3) professional development, and 4) community building partnerships.   Each day, 2500 children and their families are served in 16 neighborhood centers serving 6 metro Atlanta counties.  Sheltering Arms serves working families of all income levels by providing government child care subsidies and income-based scholarships generated by fundraising. Sheltering Arms, a United Way funded agency, has been nationally recognized for its success in preparing children for school success.

Fun Time's mission is to provide safe,quality, affordable education and care for children of low-income working families and to prepare the children for kindergarten, ready to read and ready to learn.

Books For Kids

The mission of the Books for Kids Foundation is to promote literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children. Books for Kids creates libraries, donates books, and implements literacy programs to develop the critical early foundation and skills which young children need to be successful in life.
