Founded in 1952, Broadway Children's School of Oakland provides education programs for preschool age children and their parents. The school's play-based programs are designed to develop all aspects of a child's growth (social, emotional, physical, creative and intellectual) and to prepare children for kindergarten. BCSO is a Family-First school. We combine child-centered learning through creative play with parent enrichment that extends developmentally appropriate learning deep into the home. We then cultivate a committed community that offers families a bedrock of support, knowledge-sharing, and friendship.

The mission of Mar Vista Family Center (MVFC) is to provide low-income families with early childhood education, youth enrichment, and educational tools to create positive change in their lives and their community.  Every program adheres to the basic premise that it is critical to empower children, teens and adults to play vital and responsible roles -- as decision-makers, community leaders, mentors, classroom volunteers and fundraisers.

The Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles, Inc. helps children grow and develop to the best of their capabilities and puts them on a path to school readiness.

The Association for Supportive Child Care (ASCC) is a progressive and energetic agency that has provided a variety of services to child care providers, families, and children since 1976. Pearl Buck Center offers people with various abilities and their families quality choices and supports to achieve their goals.

The Marylhurst School is an independent, progressive private school founded in 1972. Our K-8 curriculum embraces creativity and self-directed learning in a supportive, hands-on environment. Our school is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on the support of our community.

Noe Valley Nursery School, a cooperative preschool, was started in 1969 by a group of San Francisco parents in the Noe valley neighborhood. We continue to be a community of parents interested in taking part in our children's preschool experience. All families share in the planning and operation of the school. Our parents staff the school under the direct guidance of a qualified master's-level preschool teacher. Our school is a proud and active member of the California council of parent participation nursery schools, which has also been serving San Francisco families since 1969. At NVNS, we welcome all ethnicities, religions, orientations, abilities, and backgrounds. We are one inclusive community, and we celebrate our differences.

Family Connections knows that a positive family dynamic is key to a child’s success. That is why Family Connections is a family learning community focused on education and growth for underserved children AND their parents and caregivers. Our mission is to create the highest quality family learning community so underserved children and parents together become the drivers of their own success.

St. Matthew’s Parish School, an Episcopal day school, is an integral part of the Parish of St. Matthew, serving children and families of the parish and larger community. The school provides an excellent education through a challenging, caring and balanced program. Our purpose is to affirm that we are all children of God and to nurture intellectual, creative, spiritual and ethical individuals who serve, lead and flourish in an ever-changing world.

The Sherman Oaks Cooperative Preschool has been welcoming children and parents since 1955. We are a unique program that offers both indoor spaces and a large outdoor classroom. We provide a developmentally appropriate program that is supported by an emergent curriculum. Our daily routine fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, large/fine motor and language development of each child. We emphasize positive communication and the use of problem solving tools. Our goal is to build a foundation to support social and intellectual competence both at school and at home.
