Carpe Diem was established with the aim of improving the quality of life, contributing to the general well-being of the community and stimulating and developing the creative and social potential of children, youth and adults. Through active community roles, we encourage positive social changes using common values such as teamwork, professionalism and equal opportunities. Areas of activity of the Organization in accordance with the objectives are democratic political culture, human rights, international cooperation, culture and art, education, science and research, social activities, technical education, health protection and social entrepreneurship. Carpe Diem builds a sustainable society through non-formal education, strengthening of human resources, development of community capacity, fostering tolerance and justice. The values of our organization are teamwork, togetherness and networking; expertise, responsibility and efficiency in work; social inclusion; active citizenship; partnership and cooperation; lifelong learning; innovation and sustainability. Carpe Diem has become an important organization in the social, cultural and civic life of Karlovac to this day. The primary target group is young people, but its programs and projects often include all age and social groups. It has a well-developed organizational structure, competent people who are members of various national councils and committees for social development, and enjoys the reputation of one of the key organizations for improving the quality of life in Karlovac County. Carpe Diem mostly works with young people, covering all areas of young people's lives in order to contribute to the development of better living conditions for young people in Karlovac County. Since its foundation in 2005, the Carpe Diem association has implemented over 110 projects, programs and initiatives, initiated numerous changes in the city. What we consider our greatest success are active young people who have found themselves and meaning in life, who have been organizing various events in Karlovac in recent years. One of the most important projects run by Carpe Diem is the Youth Center in Grabrik since 2008, which has become an example of good practice in Croatia, but also in Europe, through which we inform, educate and empower young people for active participation in society and strengthen their competences for life. Since 2021, the Carpe Diem association has also run a social and cultural center called Prostor(i)ja and is located in the city center of Karlovac. One of the most important areas of the association's activities is the development of volunteerism, and annually, in our activities, about 60 volunteers participate. Also, since 2014, in the Carpe Diem association, every year we host 3 foreign volunteers who come for a year through the program of the European Solidarity Corps. Carpe Diem is a member of national networks in the field of youth information, volunteerism development, civic education and, at the local level, networks for the development of independent culture.

The mission of the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand is to advance the care of hand and upper extremity disorders by supporting research, education, and outreach through the efficient collection of donations and administration of grants.

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is the charity that saves lives on South African waters. Established in 1967, the NSRI is a registered non-profit organisation that is committed to drowning prevention and focusses on saving lives, changing lives, and creating futures for those threatened by immersion or submersion in water in South Africa. Our Rescue Services are run by nearly 1500 highly skilled, unpaid volunteers who are on call 24/7 at 47 rescue bases along the coast of South Africa and at inland dams and waterways. Our Drowning Prevention initiatives include preventative measures such as Pink Rescue Buoys for emergency flotation, emergency signage, rescue swimmers, lifeguards, active patrols during peak seasons, and drowning prevention training such as Water Safety Education and Survival Swimming lessons in under-resourced communities throughout South Africa. The NSRI is entirely funded through donations and sponsorships.

To promote public understanding of the role of public education and of national education issues. 2.1.2 To advocate on national education issues. 2.1.3 To develop and promote national education policies and to devise strategies to achieve the goals implicit in that policy. 2.1.4 To monitor and provide information, analysis, research and reports on national education issues to affiliates and other appropriate organisations. 2.1.5 To represent parents of children in government schools and their school communities in all relevant forums. 2.1.6 To provide support for affiliates and a clearing house for affiliates to share information and experiences. 2.1.7 To work with other organisations on matters of mutual interest. 2.1.8 To represent ACSSO views on national issues to Government and to education and other related organisations. 2.1.9 To provide for ongoing development and regular review of ACSSO organisation and administration

Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is a not-for-profit corporation that promotes world understanding through international humanitarian service programs and educational and cultural exchanges. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and others who share its vision of a better world. Since 1947, the Foundation has awarded more than US$1.1 billion in humanitarian and educational grants, which are initiated and administered by local Rotary clubs and districts.

The mission of Communities In Schools Dallas Region is to help students at risk of failure stay in school, achieve academically and graduate, to become productive and contributing members of our communities. CISDR works right on the school campus every day, all day, one on one with struggling students to stay in school and succeed.  CISDR connects these students and families to community resources/services through its strong partnerships with school districts, educators, corporations, institutions of higher learning, government agencies, faith based and community organizations.
