The Institute for Educational Advancement (IEA) is dedicated to the intellectual, creative, and personal growth in our nation’s gifted and high potential youth. The Parent-Child Home Program’s (PCHP) nationwide network of program sites provides under-resourced families with the necessary tools to ensure their children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. We assist underserved communities in replicating and expanding our proven school readiness program that supports early parent-child verbal interaction and learning at home.The proven Program effectively bridges the achievement gap through its unique focus on intensive home visiting (twice a week over a two year period) with two and three-year-olds and their parents. Highly trained community based early literacy specialists model reading, play, and conversation activities using books and educational toys that are gifts to the family.

Founded in 1993 to bridge the gap between policy and practice, The Center for Education Reform is the pioneer and leading voice for substantive change that transforms learning opportunities and outcomes for America’s children. The mission of the Center is to accelerate the growth of the education reform movement in ways that make available to families new and meaningful choices, give parents fundamental power over their children’s education, and allow teachers and schools to innovate in ways that transform student learning.

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company seeks to explore the original theatrical practices of the acting companies of Shakespeare's time; to provide high quality productions of works by Shakespeare and his contemporaries to regional theatre audiences; to provide local actors, directors, and stage managers the opportunity to work with these wonderful scripts and to receive training in an original practice approach to Shakespeare's plays; and to maintain an organizational philosophy in which theatre practitioners participate in the administration of the company on a regular basis.

To contribute to peace-building and sustainable human development by facilitating the psychosocial recovery of conflict-affected, vulnerable and at-risk children and youth, and by developing the knowledge, skills and values of community leaders, young people and their care-givers in the areas of human rights, children's rights, child protection and non-violent conflict transformation.

Protecting the Caribbean environment through research and community-based action

The goals of the Taylor Anderson Memorial Fund are: 1. Assist students, schools and families in the Ishinomaki and general Tohoku area recover from the earthquake and tsunami. 2. Pursue Taylor's dream of being a bridge between the U.S. and Japan. 3. Collaborate with other NPO and organizations to enhance Tohoku recovery efforts.

The African Dream Initiative gives promising but disadvantaged children the resources to become Africa's future leaders. We provide access to quality education at top schools in Uganda, while providing psycho-social supports, leadership training, and other resources to help students build the skills they need to become leaders and give back to their communities.

The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission is an independent, non-governmental, social development organization that has been providing support to those in need since 1952. 'The Mission' works in an array of areas, support to lepers, vocational training, education, disaster relief etc. but it's primary focus is the care and protection of orphan children. The Mission works hard to provide a loving home and family for every child in its care working hard to promote family relationships and impart a spirit of responsibility in every member of the organization.

Promote the well-being of children, youth, and their families, within Kibera informal Settlement with a primary focus on those socioeconomically challenged.

The Friends are responsible for fundraising all the amazing extras they provide to the Kimball Library. They meet once a month to brainstorm new ideas and work on existing fundraisers.

Founded in 1964, California Poets in the Schools (CalPoets) is one of the largest literary artists-in-residence programs in the nation. We encourage students throughout California to recognize and celebrate their creativity, intuition, and intellectual curiosity through the creative poetry writing process. We provide students with a multicultural community of published poets, specially trained to bring their experience and love for their craft into the classroom. CalPoets serves 26,000 students annually in hundreds of public and private schools, juvenile halls, after-school programs, hospitals, and other community settings.
