Founded in 1964, California Poets in the Schools (CalPoets) is one of the largest literary artists-in-residence programs in the nation. We encourage students throughout California to recognize and celebrate their creativity, intuition, and intellectual curiosity through the creative poetry writing process. We provide students with a multicultural community of published poets, specially trained to bring their experience and love for their craft into the classroom. CalPoets serves 26,000 students annually in hundreds of public and private schools, juvenile halls, after-school programs, hospitals, and other community settings.

Education Through Music-Los Angeles' mission is to provide music education in disadvantaged schools as part of the core curriculum and regular school day in order to enhance students' academic performance and general development. We believe EVERY child deserves a well-rounded education, one that includes music and the arts. The WUaS mission is thus to facilitate all levels of teaching and learning opportunities (and future degrees) through an open, editable wiki in all languages, nation-states and subjects with great universities, and for One Laptop per Child countries and everyone.

Our Mission: San Miguel Academy of Newburgh is an independent, faith-based, 5th through 8th grade middle school for boys from under-served families residing in the City of Newburgh, New York. The purpose and goals of Santa Barbara Outrigger Canoe Club (SBOCC) are to foster national and international outrigger canoe competition and to generate public interest and support for these activities. SBOCC is dedicated to providing its members with opportunities to race, competing at all levels of competition; from local regional races to world championships in junior, open, master and senior masters divisions. Consistent with its commitment to encourage and preserve outrigger canoe racing and to promote international competition, SBOCC actively organizes and promotes athletic and educational events and training in this traditional Hawaiian ocean sport for the benefit of the organizations members and the local community.
