WABA's mission is improving bicycling conditions and promoting bicycling in the metropolitan Washington, DC region. WABA envisions bicycle accommodations on every road, bicycle access across every bridge, bicycle accommodations on all transit, and bicycle parking at every destination. We envision bicycling being not only the healthiest and most environmentally-friendly means of transportation but also the safest and most convenient.

The Mystic River Watershed is a living system full of fish and wildlife—including one of the largest river herring migration in the Commonwealth. The watershed includes thousands of acres of open space and parks along the river that offer countless recreational opportunities. The Mystic River Watershed Association uses science, advocacy, and education to ensure a vibrant, healthy, and resilient environment.

The Ipswich River has been named one of the most endangered in the nation due to extreme low-flow conditions. The Ipswich River Watershed Association (IRWA) serves as the voice of the Ipswich River and its watershed. We work to ensure ecological integrity, healthy fisheries, adequate stream flows, clean water, reliable drinking water supplies, and outstanding recreational opportunities for the region. IRWA is dedicated to using sound science and management tools to balance human uses of the river with ecosystem needs.

The Norwalk River Watershed Association, incorporated in 1996, is a not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is to improve the water quality and fish and wildlife habitats of the 40,000-acre Norwalk River watershed; to restore the riverbanks, meadows and forests through invasive plant abatement and promotion of native species; to encourage recreational use of the river, the surrounding open space and its trails; and to promote research, legislative advocacy, education, cooperation, and action on the part of the stakeholders in the seven watershed towns in Fairfield County, CT (Ridgefield, Redding, Wilton, New Canaan, Weston, and Norwalk) and NY (Lewisboro).

Our mission is to search out and correct problems causing the deterioration of safe, decent, and affordable housing; and the decline in homeownership. Our mission can be accomplished by the implementation of the following goals, objectives, and others: Provide safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate-income homebuyers; Encourage citizen participation in fighting crime; Promote enforcement of the City's Housing codes to insure the welfare, health, and safety of the community; Provide recreational and open green space; Promote improvements to the neighborhood's infrastructure (streets and sidewalks). GOSA is interested in conservation, environmental preservation, open space, and providing passive recreational areas in Southeastern Connecticut. Organization also is active in educating the public about the value of open space, conservation, and environmental preservation. The organization enlists public support and funding to promote, acquire, or maintain open space for public use.

Tenafly Nature Center is a non-profit, independent, member-supported nature preserve located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Since 1961, TNC has nurtured an appreciation for nature, been a leader in open-space preservation and environmental education for our community and beyond. Our mission is the stewardship of nearly 400 wooded acres for the purposes of conservation, education, recreation, and community engagement. Our vision is to create a community that feels a strong connection to the natural world and actively partners with us to promote the highest level of biodiversity possible for our natural areas.
