TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE, AND ADVANCE SCIENTIFIC STUDY, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS RELATING TO THE DEEP CREEK WATERSHED.SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVED THROUGH PUBLIC/PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS COMPLETING PROJECTS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE AND SECURE THE HEALTH OF THE WATERSHED.

Our mission is to work with partners to mobilize resources, provide training and conduct research to improve the physical and psychological health of individuals in communities in Kenya. Our driving force is to see healthy communities irrespective of their socioeconomic status.

Bear mortality related to human conflicts is perhaps the largest single factor affecting long-term population viability. As human populations continue to extend into bear habitat throughout North America, either through residential development, recreational use or industrial use, bear human conflicts increase. Our organization aims to reduce human caused bear mortality and incidents of human-bear conflict. This is achieved through specialized training courses and innovative applied research. We are involved in a variety of initiatives that focus on reducing people’s interactions with bears while living, working and recreating in bear country. These include our unique Bearproof Garbage Bin Loaner Program, Bear Hazard Assessments, and Natural Attractant Management. Please see www.bearconflict.org for more information.

Solar Cookers International improves human and environmental health by supporting the expansion of effective carbon-free solar cooking in world regions of greatest need. SCI leads through advocacy, research, and strengthening the capacity of the global solar cooking movement.

Reefsave's mission is to do scientific research, education, and training to implement strategies that protect Western Atlantic and Caribbean reefs from loss of marine life, through practical implementations that create economic benefits for practices that promote self-sustaining long term reef health.

Over the years, Friends of Walker Pond has funded, and continues to fund, projects that allow Walker Pond to remain one of the healthiest bodies of water in Maine. The group works with the towns of Brooksville and Sedgwick to ensure that our members, area residents and summer guests are aware of the activities affecting the health and enjoyment of the pond. The group engages experts to test and monitor water quality every year and has done so for 20+ years. Friends of Walker Pond has also been active in raising awareness regarding land development that might have the potential to damage the health and environment of the pond. This has all been done with donated funds and volunteer involvement.

Sleepyhead Beds improves the quality of life for children and their families by providing clean, reusable beds and bedding. And we contribute to the health and environment of our community by sanitizing beds and keeping them out of landfills. We are the only organization in the Kansas City area who is focused solely on this mission.

To empower children, youths and women to focus, organize and work towards improved social-economic well-being. We achieve this by empathy, social and economic empowerment through self-help projects, Advocacy, psycho-social support, community mobilization and sensitization, outreaches, health, networking and educational support.

The Public-Private Alliance Foundation (PPAF), a non-profit organization, promotes the United Nations Global Goals and a business approach for poverty alleviation through projects and seminars involving multi-stakeholder cooperation. PPAF engages in work on clean cookstoves and fuel, agribusiness, public health, microfinance & remittances, renewable energy and other aspects of sustainable development.
