To conserve and share the Mahoosuc region’s important natural lands with our communities now and for the future.

ALT works to conserve and steward critical land in perpetuity for Androscoggin River watershed protection, wildlife habitat, natural resources, and outdoor recreational opportunities. We currently conserve over 5,000 acres of land from Jay to Durham, including over ten miles of riverfront along the Androscoggin River in both rural and urban areas.

MFT is the only statewide organization dedicated to protecting farmland and is a national leader in farmland protection and farmland access work. Since its founding, MFT has expanded its program areas to not only protect Maine farmland, but increase farm viability by helping farmers thrive, and raising public awareness about the important role farms play in our communities.

To rescue and rehabilitate Arunthathiyar Dalit families from bonded labour, stand up against social injustice, to train women with sustainable vocational skills, and help them attain economic independence , access to quality education ,and healthcare facilities.

Their mission is to safeguard the wonders of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado Plateau, while supporting the rights of its Native peoples. They envision a Grand Canyon and Colorado Plateau where: Wildness, the diversity of native plants and animals, clean air, and flowing rivers abound. Sovereign tribal nations thrive. A livable climate endures. People passionately work to protect the region they love for future generations.

TO CONSERVE THE RURAL, NATURAL, AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE NEW RIVER REGION, PROTECTING FARMS, FORESTS, OPEN SPACES, AND HISTORIC PLACES.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PRESERVE LAND AS OPEN SPACE AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT OPEN SPACE AND NATURAL SURROUNDINGS. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS INDIVIDUALLY AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS TO ACQUIRE LAND FOR PRESERVATION. THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS EACH YEAR THAT SUPPORT THE MISSION.
