The Source of Synergy Foundation (SOSF) was founded in 2007 as a 501c3 not-for-profit educational organization whose purpose is to synergize individuals, organizations and efforts by tapping into the infinite source of collective consciousness, creativity and potential for the common good. Friends of the River is dedicated to preserving and restoring California's rivers, streams, and their watersheds as well as advocating for sustainable water management. The organization accomplishes its mission by providing public education, citizen activist training and organizing, and expert advocacy to influence public policy decisions on land, water, and energy management issues.

Heal the Bay is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to making the coastal waters and watersheds of Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy and clean. To fulfill our mission, we use science, education, community action, and advocacy. Our passionate team conducts hundreds of beach and community cleanups each year, informing people about the root causes of pollution along the shorelines and in their neighborhoods. We advocate for strict water quality regulations that protect the health of both humans and the aquatic life who call local creeks, rivers, and the Santa Monica Bay home. In the past year, Heal the Bay sponsored-Assembly Bill 1066 to protect people who participate in water recreation activities in California. Our Nothin' But Sand public group cleanups were accomplished with 5, 800 cleanup volunteers that helped remove 111,000 pieces of trash from Los Angeles Country beaches, rivers, and neighborhoods.

The National Park Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service, enriches America’s national parks and programs through private support, safeguarding our heritage and inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts. NPF programs fund park conservation and restoration efforts, foster youth engagement, promote citizenship and preserve history in the places where it happened.

The Sierra Club Foundation bridges the intersection of strategic philanthropy and grassroots advocacy. As a publicly supported charity, we partner with thousands of donors across the U.S. to invest in organizations that have an outsized impact on the health of the planet. The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to wildlife conservation in Africa. Established in 1961, AWF has been Africa's conservation organization and is uniquely positioned to promote conservation of wildlife and wild lands in a modern Africa. We work with people - our supporters worldwide and our partners in Africa - to craft and deliver creative solutions for the long-term well-being of Africa's remarkable species, their habitats, and the people who depend upon them. Today, AWF is the only global conservation organization that implements Africa-led strategies and programs.

Save the Bay™, and keep it saved, as defined by reaching a 70 on CBF's Health Index. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's (CBF) mission, simply stated, is to Save the Bay and keep it saved. We define a Saved Bay as having a score of 70 (out of 100) on CBF's State of the Bay health index. Thanks largely to a dramatic reduction in the amount of pollution entering the system, at 70, the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers will be highly productive and in good health as measured by established water-quality standards. The result will be clear water, free of impacts from toxic contaminants, and healthy oxygen levels, able to support living resources in all parts of the Bay.

Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast protects the land and water in Southwest Florida for the benefit of humans and nature.

Our mission is to create a better future for the San Diego River through volunteerism, advocacy, education, and championing the creation of a river-long park system.We are a San Diego based 501c3 nonprofit that started as an all volunteer group and remain grounded in engaging people through volunteerism. Before the pandemic, we engaged more than 7000 volunteers. We believe in targeting our programs to make a meaningful impact for the river, its ecosystem and San Diego. Our mission is to work toward a day where nature and people live in synergy. A world where being outdoors in nature is accessible and valued. A place that works to conserve our vanishing species and values their intrinsic beauty. A place where we find wonder and awe in nature and integrate it our daily lives.

We work to preserve, protect and enhance an environment that is livable, healthful and sustainable through a comprehensive program of education, citizen action and legal defense.

The Los Angeles River is the birthplace of our region and was once the thriving, unifying water source for the people and wildlife of Los Angeles. But that connection and our collective history was severed when the River was encased in concrete and fenced in 1938. In an act of civil disobedience, poet activist Lewis MacAdams took the first steps to repair that severed connection in 1986 when he cut a hole in the chain link fence that obstructed Angelenos from their rightful River. He declared the River open to the people and swore to serve as its voice. And so, Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) and the River Movement were born. FoLAR has endeavored for over 30 years to restore community connection and natural ecology as the single largest unifying force on the River – educating, empowering, and mobilizing over 70,000 Angelenos to repair habitat and fight for the policies that will reclaim our collective right to a healthy, thriving, and equitably accessible Los Angeles River. Our mission is to build capacity for communities, students, and future leaders to advocate for nature, climate, and equity on the Los Angeles River.
