The mission of Friends of the Portland Memory Garden is "To enhance the lives of individuals with memory disorders and their caregivers by maintaining the Portland Memory Garden and providing therapeutic and educational activities."

AVSA was organized to stimulate widespread interest in the propagation and culture of African violets, to promote ways and means for the distribution of all varieties and species, and to gather and publish reliable and practical information concerning the culture and propagation of the African violet. AVSA is the International Cultivar Registration Authority for the genus Saintpaulia. Information about AVSA’s many publications, services and activities is available in the African Violet Magazine, from the AVSA Office, and from the official website (www.avsa.org). The African Violet Society of America, Inc. (AVSA) was organized on November 8, 1946, and incorporated on June 30, 1947. The African Violet Society of America Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Since 1997, the Kasiisi Project has aided education in and around Kibale National Park in rural western Uganda, East Africa. Founded initially as a link between the research-based Kibale Chimpanzee Project and the local community, the Kasiisi Project now works with several research groups in and around the park to target critical issues for the survival of the forest and support of the local population. We support early childhood education, promote conservation and health education, provide daily school lunches, train teachers, encourage literacy through libraries and computer usage, fund secondary school and college scholarships, and address the special needs of girls.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey preserves land and water resources, conserves open space, and inspires and empowers individuals and communities to protect land and the environment.

We work to preserve, protect and enhance an environment that is livable, healthful and sustainable through a comprehensive program of education, citizen action and legal defense.

Through advocacy and education, Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness works to protect, preserve, and restore the wilderness character of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico-Superior ecosystem. Our vision for the future of this national treasure lies at the intersection of people, communities and wilderness.

The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust leads and inspires action to conserve and enhance the Mountains to Sound Greenway National Heritage Area. This iconic 1.5 million-acre landscape stretches from Seattle to Ellensburg along the I-90 corridor, connecting Central Washington, the Cascade Mountains, and Puget Sound. The Greenway Trust is a coalition-based organization that works to steward these lands, all while promoting access to the outdoors and striking a long-term balance between the needs of the natural world and the people who call this region home.

Desert Conservation through Preservation, Education and Appreciation

Our mission is to create a better future for the San Diego River through volunteerism, advocacy, education, and championing the creation of a river-long park system.We are a San Diego based 501c3 nonprofit that started as an all volunteer group and remain grounded in engaging people through volunteerism. Before the pandemic, we engaged more than 7000 volunteers. We believe in targeting our programs to make a meaningful impact for the river, its ecosystem and San Diego. Our mission is to work toward a day where nature and people live in synergy. A world where being outdoors in nature is accessible and valued. A place that works to conserve our vanishing species and values their intrinsic beauty. A place where we find wonder and awe in nature and integrate it our daily lives.

The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) is the nation’s most innovative and influential organization promoting the building and revitalization of great urban places. We are a multi-disciplinary organization comprised of architects, urban planners, developers, investors, engineers, academics, elected and career governmental officials, and citizen advocates. We work within and outside of our professions to further the organization’s mission. CNU Florida, a charitable 501(c)(3) corporation, is CNU’s oldest chapter. We operate through a statewide board of directors and other dedicated volunteers. Due to the size of our State, we organized regional groups including in Orlando, Tampa Bay, the Palm Beaches, Tallahassee, and Miami. We aim to make Florida more beautiful, economically vibrant, environmentally sustainable, and healthier for all its citizens and visitors.
