Malama Kahalawai is dedicated to facilitating and advancing the goals of the West Maui Mountains Watershed Partnership, whose mission is to protect Maui's water supply and native ecosystems and prevent further degradation through collaborative forest management. Within the 50,000-acre management area of WMMWP are native forests that produce fresh water for three-quarters of Maui Island residents. The healthier these forests, the more water there is for Maui's future.

Connecticut River Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the Connecticut River watershed in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. The mission of Communities for a Better Environment (CBE) is to build people’s power in California’s communities of color and low income communities to achieve environmental health and justice by preventing and reducing pollution and building green, healthy and sustainable communities and environments.  CBE helps residents in urban areas to change the environmental policies and practices that put their health and well-being at risk. CBE utilizes three integrated strategies to impact change in its target communities: community organizing, science-based advocacy, and legal intervention.

The mission of Project P.E.C.E.S., Inc. is to promote the educational, economic, and social development of southeastern Puerto Rico. The mission of the organization is directed to four programmatic areas: education, youth intervention and health, economic development, and community development with a special focus on youth development. Each goal seeks to strengthen the capacity of the southeastern communities- especially their youth - to resolve their own community problems. The Program for Community Education through Commitment and Service, Inc. (P.E.C.E.S., Inc.) is a non-profit community organization incorporated in the State Department of Puerto Rico, with federal tax exemption (501-C-3) and state tax exemption (101-6). The goals of Project P.E.C.E.S., Inc. are directed to four programmatic areas: education, youth intervention, economic development and community development. The objectives of P.E.C.E.S., Inc. are: To contribute to the economic development of southeastern Puerto Rico. To form leaders that participate in the social development of their communities. To improve the educational opportunities of southeastern Puerto Rico. To strengthen families and communities through programs directed to impact high risk behaviors. To prevent child abuse and neglect, high risk behaviors, and negative conduct through an integral program of prevention, counseling, orientation and social work. To reduce and prevent the abuse of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, AIDS, violence, and juvenile delinquency. To provide youth with positive alternatives, service opportunities, and leadership formation. Project P.E.C.E.S., Inc. is very proud of our following accomplishments: Operating the first licensed and accredited high school created especially for school drop outs. Preparing more than 600 community youth leaders throughout our 25 years of service in southeastern Puerto Rico. Administering the Natural Reserve of Humacao, based upon a contract of 15 years with the Natural Department of Resources, as an initiative to create employment and community economic development, as an ecological tourism business and as an environmental protection project. Our mission is to celebrate the Petaluma Watershed through education and stewardship; because every great River needs a true Friend. Our Goals: Access, Education, and Conservation -To pursue outreach and educational activities that will nurture enthusiasm and commitment in the watershed for long term sustainable stewardship. -To monitor conditions and engage in activities that will reduce or prevent pollution and lessen other harmful impacts on the River and its wetlands. -To foster a River Heritage Center as a community resource. A place to archive information, host events, administer programs, and coordinate river related activities. -To promote access to the Petaluma River and Marsh for all community members to experience the beauty of this resource for themselves
