Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is a registered charity whose purpose is to raise funds to support the health and well being of children and youth in need on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Our roots go back to 1922, and we were previously known as the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and audited annually, funds are carefully allocated to facilities, services, programs, special projects and urgently needed medical equipment that help ensure children and youth develop to their full potential. It is the foundation's mission to raise funds to support the children living in our community that are afflicted with cancer and other life threatening diseases by improving the quality of life for them and their family while they courageously battle these devastating diseases.

For more than 95 years, Children’s Hospital Foundation has been dedicated to funding and advocating for pediatric initiatives that improve the status of health care and the quality of life for children in our region. We provide support for the programs and initiatives of Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR) and the more than 70,000 children it serves each year. CHoR is a full service children’s hospital that offers a robust continuum of pediatric services, research and education. The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health works in alignment with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and the child health programs of Stanford University School of Medicine.
