Pets for the Elderly

Pets For the Elderly began in Cleveland in 1992, and expanded nationally in 2001 with a goal of saving as many companion animals as possible from euthanasia. We have a small staff, and all administrative costs are paid by the founder's related foundation. Currently there are 48 participating shelters in 27 states. More shelters are added as funding becomes available. Our goal is to save the lives of 6,000 companion pets annually, while enhancing the lives of an equal number of senior citizens.

The Living Water Project

The Living Water Project is an effort to fund clean and accessible water for people in impoverished areas of the world, thereby also extending to them the love of God.Our clean water projects are often done to supplement the work of established holistic ministries. Through a grant application and selection process, we choose and support a ministry by providing the people they serve with clean water in order to relive that burden both financially and logistically. This gives them more time and money to extend additional services to their communities. We finance, support, and participate in the construction of clean water projects all over the world. Because we are completely volunteer-run, 100% of all funds raised go directly toward funding clean water projects.

The Grassroot Project (DC)

Founded in 2009, The Grassroot Project (TGP) uses the power of sports and the platform of athlete role models to educate, inspire, and mobilize youth to live healthy lives. We are a team of more than 1,000 NCAA varsity athletes and 5,000 DC teens who are committed to making our city healthier. The Grassroot Project capitalizes on the excitement, relatability, and popularity of sports to provide much-needed health literacy and social empowerment programs to DC teens. The only way for us to succeed is to believe in the power of youth to make a difference. In addition to providing health education to DC teens, we invest in the leadership training, cultural competency, and professional skills of hundreds of NCAA varsity athletes who serve as our program facilitators. Also known as Athletes United For Social Justice.
