Coalition Against Childhood Cancer

Coalition Against Cancer (CAC2) is a collaborative network of organizations and individuals who support and serve the childhood cancer community. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.The mission of CAC2 is to foster and sustain greater levels of coordinated action, information exchange, learning, and broad-based collaboration through agreed-upon initiatives in four areas: research and treatment, family services, awareness building, and advocacy. CAC2 works to benefit the childhood cancer community - including both its membership and childhood cancer patients, survivors, and their families - through greater levels of coordinated action that leverage the unique strengths and expertise of its members, minimizing waste of precious resources in order to drive better outcomes for childhood cancer patients and their families.

Coalition For Childrens Mentalhealth

CCMH is dedicated to increasing awareness of mental health disorders and illnesses among children and adolescents. Our goal is to promote early intervention and to prevent the physical, emotional and social consequences of the failure to treat mental illnesses. By encouraging the entire community to support youth who suffer from these disorders, along with their families, the Coalition works to reduce stigma and increase understanding and treatment of these disorders, often referred to as mental illnesses. To do this our mission is to -Educate: Increase the understanding of behavioral and emotional disorders in children, youth and to promote mental wellness for all. -Advocate: Raise awareness of mental health issues and decrease the stigma of mental illness. -Support: Provide families coping with mental health issues with area resources and enhance connections in the community.

PWA Coalition of Dallas

ASD currently operates four Special Care Facilities licensed by the Texas Department of Health: The Ewing Center, Revlon Apartments, Hillcrest House, and Spencer Gardens. ASD serves an average of 175 men, women and children in 152 total bedrooms within 125 privately configured units. Seventy-six percent (76%) of the agency's resident population are racial or ethnic minorities, 24 percent were women. One hundred percent (100%) of the people served by ASD are significantly below the federal poverty line and are classified either as low- or very-low income. The agency has provided more than 326,000 person/nights of housing to more than 1,100 individuals and family members living with AIDS. Along with a home and a mutually supportive community environment, residents at each facility are provided with a range of services individually tailored to empower them to cope with the cyclical impact HIV/AIDS has on people who are living with a disease that often compromises their complete independence.
