National Scleroderma Foundation

The National Scleroderma Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1998 to advance medical research, promote disease awareness, and provide support and education to people with scleroderma, their families and support networks. Supported by a network of thousands of individuals across the United States, the Foundation helps those living with scleroderma by providing support and education at the same time that it funds peer-reviewed scleroderma research. Since its founding, the Foundation has committed over $30 Million to discover the cause, understand the mechanism, and overcome scleroderma forever. The Foundation is home to the National Scleroderma Conference—the only educational program of its kind and scope in the U.S.—which provides access to leading scleroderma experts and up-to-date information while serving as the central meeting ground for the scleroderma community. In addition, the Foundation's Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma walks are the country's premier awareness and fundraising events which are organized by the Foundation’s local chapters and take place throughout the year at multiple locations and virtually across the country. The V Foundation

Jim Valvano, legendary NC State basketball coach and ESPN announcer, established The V Foundation for Cancer Research in 1993 with ESPN. Its goal is to help find cures for cancer by funding cancer research. It seeks to accomplish this through fundraising, philanthropy, advocacy and education. The Foundation is overseen by a nationally focused volunteer board of directors and is active in all 50 states. The Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board, comprised of an internationally recognized group of research physicians, reviews grant proposals, selects research projects to support and continues to identify new and alternative ways to become a leader in the field of cancer research.

American Brain Foundation

Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation

Founded in 2000 by brothers Albert Rose and Michael Rosenzweig, PhD, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying effective PF treatments and assisting those living with the disease. National Pancreas Foundation

Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation

Since 1970, the OI Foundation has doubled funding for research every five years, for a total investment of more than $3.3 million. Funding is available for postdoctoral fellowships to encourage new investigators to begin a career in OI research, and seed grants for preliminary research. All applications are reviewed by the Foundation's Scientific Review Committee, which includes many preeminent OI researchers and clinicians. Funding also supports the OI Registry and the Linked Clinical Research Centers. The potential for results in OI research is growing, with recent advances in gene therapy, a new diagnostic test, and drug therapies under study.
