Heart Of The Brain Foundation

With a mission to find a cure for brain cancer, HOTB fundraises to support the work of world-class medical researchers and doctors, dedicated to understanding the causes and prevention of brain cancer; developing earlier detection techniques; and discovering new and improved treatments. HOTB supports the life-changing research and treatment happening at UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UCLA Brain Tumor Center, which were designated a Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in 2017 by the National Cancer Institute – one of only six brain cancer programs in the nation – recognizing UCLA’s breadth and depth in state-of-the-art, innovative, investigator-initiated translational research(bench to bedside) contributing to improved detection, diagnosis, and treatment of brain cancer. The Samaritans (Central London Branch)

Central London Samaritans is the only support service in London open round the clock, every day of the year. Every year we receive over 100,000 calls for help. Our volunteers provide a safe space for people to talk to us about whatever's troubling them. Our callers are often distressed and experiencing despair and suicidal feelings. People call us to be heard, to work through their problems and find to positive outcomes that work for them.

Since 1980, Hospice of the Golden Isles has provided expert, compassionate care for patients with advanced illness and their families in the five county service area– Glynn, McIntosh, Camden, Brantley, and Charlton. In accordance with our mission as a non-profit hospice, we serve all eligible patients regardless of ability to pay. From the day hospice care begins, HGI provides award-winning services to patients, wherever they are– their home, nursing facility, hospital or our Hospice House.
