CLARE provides services to all those seeking recovery from alcoholism and substance abuse. Eleven programs in four Los Angeles-area locations meet the recovery needs of individuals, families and the community through a culturally sensitive, individualized, outcomes-oriented, "whole" person model of care. Programs are based on over 30 years of experience with Social Model treatment and the 12-step program developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. CLARE believes that recovery involves individual effort, the non-judgmental support of others and a clean, secure and sober environment.

We are a non-profit, all volunteer, 501(c) (3) charitable organization focusing on serving our community via our youth programs and our veterans programs. At no cost to the participants, we provide sailing and boating experiences to introduce to the world of sailing and seamanship. Our participants are youth, disabled adults and Veterans of our community who face life and/or physical challenges. We are an accredited Wounded Warriors Project resource center. Our programs provide an education of nautical history, the diverse careers in harbors and at sea, overviews of the various vessels and marine wildlife, all while promoting confidence, team-building and interpersonal skills that can be carried over into every day life.
