Our mission is to restore dignity and enrich the lives of Syrian refugees and other vulnerable families by providing critically-needed items and supporting educational programs. The Syria Fund is a group of volunteers who care deeply about helping Syrian refugees amid this massive, ongoing crisis. We identify individuals that are underserved by large, mainstream aid organizations and provide meaningful contributions to better their lives. We focus on families and creating opportunities for a generation that has none.

Most of our participants live in the state of Florida, however, we serve families throughout the United States. Waking the Village's mission is to offer 18 months of housing and support so that Sacramento County's homeless, parenting or pregnant youth and their children can get busy living rather than surviving. Through Tubman House, young parents (18 to 21 years old) experience healthy living, intensive case management, parent coaching and educational support so that they leave prepared to be leaders in their own lives, and leaders in the lives of their children and communities. In exchange for housing, child care, and wrap around support, Tubman residents lead Youth Corps, growing as leaders as they govern Tubman and spearhead projects to build up their community.

The Kwek Society provides period supplies -- our moon time bags/period kits along with educational materials, pads, tampons, and underwear-- to Indigenous students and communities without ready access to these expensive period care necessities. We are guided by the needs of the communities we support, and we work to highlight the inequities -- including period poverty -- these communities experience. We support and trumpet the successes of Indigenous students/girls and women (kwe'k in the Potawatomi language) and to celebrate Indigenous people across North America.
