TO PERFORM THE FUNCTIONS OF, OR TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF NICKLAUS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND ITS AFFILIATED ENTITIES, AND TO INVEST IN, RECEIVE, HOLD, USE AND DISPOSE OF ALL PROPERTY, REAL OR PERSONAL, AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE TO CARRY INTO EFFECT THE AFOREMENTIONED PURPOSES.

The Foundation provides medical and health care services primarily to patients at Boston Children's Hospital, and at satellite locations. The Foundation carries on and promotes basic and applied medical research and education in the field of pediatric care by (Schedule O) teaching students and other medical and scientific personnel. The Foundation also provides care for patients regardless of their ability to pay.
