The Registered Trustees of the Cece Yara Foundation

Preventing child sexual abuse through community empowerment and support. The Cece Yara Foundation is a child-centred non-profit organisation established in 2016 to prevent child sexual abuse and provide access to care, information, protection and emergency intervention for children who are sexually abused or at risk, and their family. The Foundation provides the ideal response to children through a 24-hour free child telephone helpline and its child-friendly Child Advocacy Centre based in Lagos, which provides professional counselling, medical, legal and psycho-social support, as well as referral services. The Foundation also conducts prevention programs for children and adults to raise awareness on child sexual abuse, and educate adults on how to protect children from sexual abuse.

Chicago Period Project

The Chicago Period Project empowers homeless and in-need people to experience their periods with dignity. The feminist, grassroots organization distributes pads, tampons, underwear, and other critical menstruation supplies to local shelters, schools, and crisis support networks. All menstruating people should have reliable access to period supplies. The Chicago Period Project’s goal is for the 29 percent of Chicago residents living below the poverty line to have healthy periods, and for us to raise awareness about this issue.

World Justice Project

The mission of the World Justice Project is to promote home-grown rule of law culture by: increasing understanding of the rule of law and its foundational importance; stimulating government reform, direct or indirect; and inspiring and fostering practical, locally-led programs that enhance and extend the rule of law.
